DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Per Patch 1.60: - Weakened Bonds: Players should now find that Archdruid Glasan is once again spawning. Per Patch 1.70: - Necromancers may use the ley crystals while in shadeform. At the academy, Librarian Pelan gives this quest, it ends up when you kill the ArchDruid Gasan in Salisbury plains. You may have to /whisper Gem Staff to get this quest. Also see below under helpful hints. This is what I had to do: Pelan (2nd floor on building just north of the patio at the academy) Sends you to speak with Scout Dherin (atop the watch tower just south of Castle Sauvage)(New Frontiers he can be found inside the entrance of the tower located east of Gronyr's Farm. Approx. 39k,32k, Camelot Hills.) who in turn sends you to speak with Gral Bermorn (atop the tower in C. Ulfwych) who sends you in several errands that culminate in the final fight with Archdruid Gasan. "The Darkenstone is taken from one of the Giant Skeletons in the circle at 57k,57k. If lost or damaged, another can be obtained by returning and taking another from the Giant Skeletons." You visit the major circles in a clockwise manner around sals plains. The first one is the one where the large skeletons spawn at night, as you travel along the river to the broken bridge. The minor circle I used was the one just south of west downs. From the first major circle go west to the next one, west to the next one again, west to the next one again. north to the next one, north-eastish to the next one and then finaly southish to the next. They are very easy to spot. Then go to stonehenge for the last step and use the darkenstone. Archdruid Glasan will spawn at a smaller circle of stones, just north of the centre of stonehenge. There are the 7 circles listed in order that you must visit and activate the well using the ley crystal along with their respective locs. 1. Beartaine: 55k,44k 2. Midsummer: 46k,46k 3. Lughnasadu: 22k,45k 4. Mabon: 12k,45k 5. Yule: 12k,28k 6. Imblog: 54k,12k 7. Ostara: 54k,28k To use the Darkenstone, equip it in the hot bar, then press E (or your use button) and then click on the stone. Ley stones are used in the same manner. I received 8,322,552 xp and 60 silver and some copper besides Ley Infused Belt of ...... Useful hints: After reading some of the posts on this site, I thought I'd try out the quest. I saw that Pelan would not give the quest to another Friar (Lv 28 Friar myself), but thought to try it anyway. I found him but he would not give me the time of day, let alone the quest. :( However, I ended up moving closer to him and in the corner by the bookcases I got a message saying I had "Entered the Library"...on a whim I asked again and it worked! So...if he does not give you the quest, try moving around in the area you find him in until you get the "enter library" message and hope for the best! Good luck! __________________________________________________ Dialog from quest- submitted by: bethany Gral Bermorn says, "Within Salisbury there exist eleven druid circles, eight major, three minor, and the axis circle where you obtained the darkenstone. Of the three minor circles, one lay in the south and two in the north. All others can be considered major including Stonehenge itself. If a darkenstone is taken into any of these circles, the holder will be made aware if it is major or minor. Each of the minor circles can be instructed to offer up a ley crystal by using the darkenstone. It will be the ley crystal that will allow you to [ switch ] the wells on." Gral Bermorn says, "As the last rays of light fade from Salisbury, travel to each major druid ring and make use of your crystal. The crystal will be crushed in the process and will activate the ring's well. As Morgana's power has hold of the tombs below these rings, I am unsure what the mix of necromantic power and ley energy will have upon you and the circle itself. Be prepared for anything! If you find yourself without a ley crystal return to a minor circle and use the darkenstone to gain another. If you are foolish enough to lose your darkenstone, you may return to the [ axis circle ] and kill a skeleton to obtain another. Gral Bermorn says, "All seven of the wells can only be activated using darkness. If dawn arrives and you have not visited all seven you must wait till the next night to complete the ritual. When you have established the alignment of these ley lines, travel to the heart of Stonehenge and use your darkenstone for the final time. Upon the stone's destruction the bonds that tie the portal close should ignite and allow it to be [ opened from the other side ]." Gral Bermorn says, "You must be ready for Glasan at this point. When the arch druid arrives, you will have little time to attack him, as his power will grow quickly. If you are successful in slaying him, the staff should shatter on its own. Any shards left from the battle must be returned to me! Here, take these instructions to aid you. Good luck to thee Theurgist." lvl 35 received 8,322,552 experience and 60 silver Rewards: |

i couldn't find him, we are on version 1.48 now on the european server, an he still isn't there. i nearly ruined my drum by trying to find him.

does any1 know what patch this quest was introduced in? DAoC Europe is now up to 1.49 and im approaching lvl 28, was wondering if i will b able to do this quest or not.

I did this quest with my lvl 29 armsman and it's easily the best quest I've done so far. Wish more were like this.
One thing that stumped me for a bit was when you went to get the ley crystals. When you use the Darkenstone in a minor circle the ley crystal drops as loot on the ground and doesn't go to your inventory. You can only get one at a time to drop as well.
Do this quest, even if it's just for the fun of it.
Berik is at 50k, 54k. He usually has a friend or two. Bring help if you can @ 29. Him and his mate were blue to me.

I'm doing this quest as a 29 armsman. After talking to Gral Bermon in C. Ulfwich, he sent me to find the mercenary Berik Liglim in salisbury to get the book he stole from him. I cant find him anywhere. Figured he be around mercenary mounds but no not there, anyone know were he is?

Found liglim by faery toads. This was a good quest, just remember that to use an item u have to press the use key thenthe item.;) Unfortunatly the belt i received doesnt seem to do anything for me:[

a ley infused belt of vigor is also given +13 str, +2 power, 29 lvl.

the druid circles in the quest are the large raised ones. Bealtaine is just north of the leggionnaires at the broken bridge. the circles u need to vist after the first run clockwise from Bealtaine. Midsummer, Lughnasadh, Mabon, Yule, Imblog and Ostara. You will need a total of 7 ley stones and the stones can only be used after 7 PM. The druid appears at the rock formations to the NE of the henge after u open the portal. Bealtine and Midsummer have the hgihest lvl monsters guarding them green and blue at 33rd lvl, but after them the rest are gray till the druid who is blue (at 33rd lvl).

Whenever I go to the minor druid rings and activate the darkstone I get the Yes ______! message but dont get a ley stone. Guess the quest isn't doable at persent as I cant activate any rings (using the darkstone in the major rings also gets me nothing).

Completed this quest with my level 32 paladin. Great storyline, maybe one of the most interesting quests I have done yet. The archdruid is blue at level 32. I received a belt at the end but stats were +12 Str and +2 power as opposed to the +12 dex belt.

I was a 30 Cleric who did get and complete this quest. It was by far the most interesting quest I have done in the game, and I have done about 61 quests to date. Note: The stone have to be visited at night, but not all at the same night. The Archdruid was yellow to me at 30.

what do u have to ask him to get quest
Pelan is found in the Academy, in one of the two side areas of the Academy courtyard up some stairs. In fact, you will get very used to climbing in this quest ;D
I started this at 40. Not finished yet. It has a wonderful story thus far. This quest is new with the last major release. I have noticed how the guards sometimes don't know who some of the newer NPCs are. But follow the sounds of sneezing and coughing.

Found Pelan, yes he coughs and sneezes alot, "Bah, dust", was unable to get a quest from him however. I'm a 32 level cleric, so either higher level than listed or has some class limitations.

I am an EUropean player, we are only in the 1.45th patch. Maybe you're both right but I looked in the two wings of the academy and there are only 2 NPC's, Librarian Ophus and something like Ame-Feu (in french). I also asked the people who were in Camelot and they told he didn't exist. I even looked at the Illias Bestiary and the Camelot Lore Map, and they didn't mention him. Thanks again,

On guinevere at least, there are two Librarian, and Pelan is always complaining of the large amounts of dust in his library, and he complains alot...
He is in the Academy, he is in one of the wings, can't remember which one, but he is there, I don't get a quest from him, but maybe it's class related...

There is no NPC named Pelan or Librarian Pelan in all Camelot!!! I spend nearly 1hour trying to find him, I asked almost every Guard in the city, no one knows him... Hope this quest is not a joke, but only a name mistake.
