DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Prerequisite: Larylle's Necklace

Larylle in Ardee sends you to the Cliffs of Moher to talk to a named Tidal Sheerie, Aessa.

She sends you on some tasks.

Fanged Sinach - Just south of Aessa in the Cliffs of Moher (orange con to a lvl 46)

Elder Tidal Sheerie, Connacht 40K/ 4600

Touched, Connacht 58K/ 6200

A fairly easy quest for a nice reward
______________________________________________________

Another take on the quest:

- Larylle in Ardee sends you to the Cliffs of Moher to talk to a named Tidal Sheerie, Aessa.

- Aessa (4600,20k) will send you to a cliff dweller camp to speak with them. The necklace makes the dwellers not attack, regardless of them being aggressive.

- Go find any of the camps... when you get close to a spearman or hunter, they will identify your necklace and attack. Cliff dwellers will not set it off, so try and find one that will set it off but doesn't have lots of friends around.

- If you survive, return to Aessa and she wants you to try again at a different camp.

- The second time I went, he ripped the necklace off then attacked. If you survive, and kill the mob, it advances the quest and you go back to speak to Aessa.

- Aessa then sends you to kill Fanged Sinnach south on the beach (big ugly, can't miss)

- Return, and then sent to mess with the kaolinth on the beach (south/southeast).

- Elder Tidal Sheerie is next in Connacht (40k/4600). He sends you to get your reward, which is on the tooth of a sharptoothed megafelid SW of Dun Ailinne (38k/51k).

Megafelid location

For anyone who might be looking for those megafelids, the quest now tells you that the sharptoothed megafelid is in the Bryniog Plains, which is along the road East of Cynnull Gogledd. Which meant nothing to me and I had to wander all over Cruachan Gorge to figure out that Cynnull Gogledd is the gate to the east of the encampment (Crair Treflan) in the northwest part of the map. I wish there was map somewhere of all these stupid regions in the frontiers. Anyway, I finally found the group of megafelids and sharptoothed megafelids in that location, which is 45501, 20796 in Cruachan Gorge. Hope that helps anyone else currently looking for the last step of this quest - like others, I would agree that the ring wasn't really much but the quest was kind of fun and amusing with the trickster sheerie, the last step was just pretty frustrating to complete.

I was able to get and complete this quest at lvl 38.
Fanged Sinach

The location of the Fanged Sinah given here on the guide is WAY wrong, it's definatly not 53K/ 36K and it does not spawn at midnight either, it's a day spawn and spawns just south of Aessa in the water like the journal says, orange to me at lvl46

I was next sent to the Elder Tidal Sheerie, who then had me kill a Sharptoothed Megafelid in the Frontier... who dropped the ring.

Overall, the Quest was ~ . I completed it because I have been trying to do all the Quests. The ring was not much good for me, as I had much better ones.

I wish All well and good hunting!

The first two tasks that I was sent on was to speak with the Cliff Dwellers... which did not go well [snickers].

The next was to kill a Fanged Sinach, which was yellow to me as a 43rd/2L3 Ranger.

The next task was to kill a Koalinth Slinker.

That is as far as I have gotten. The only problem I have run into is the Tidal Sherries themselves. They will kick your butt every chance they get.

I wish All well;

Lex

Does anyone know if this quest is broken? I've gotten to the part where I am supposed to tell the elder tidal sherrie that Aessa sent me but when I go near it, it attacks me and when I mention Aessa it says "Aessa, who is Aessa?" and thats it. Do you have to have neutral faction with it? It is aggresive to me.
Oh, and you can get this quest at least at lvl 38. It's fairly easy. You do NOT have to kill the fanged sinach, just engage it in combat and you get a message that says 'the sea monster growls at you'. Then run away, since these mobs can be orange to a lvl 50.

I was wondering the same thing when she went "Aessa, who's that?" I just sat there dumbfounded, tried to figure out what to do...then about 30 seconds later the Elder goes "Hahaha, just kidding," and the quest continued.

Bard only

Slash +4%
Music +3

I think the quest is strange, but just for the loot it is worth to be completed :)
Agreed

Agreed this quest is a complete waste of time. Use the time this quest takes and go level.
#Anonymous, Posted: Sep 21 2002 at 6:41 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Agreed this quest is a complete waste of time. Too much work for such a worthless item. Even at lvl 45 i died several times with this quest.

This quest is listed for level 40 minimum, but we just completed this quest with a group. Everyone in the group had the quest and ranged from level 35 to 39. The magic item drop was level 40 for each member.
The aggro from the Tidal Sheeries was out biggest problem, even with the necklaces on we ended up getting the whole party trashed more than once.
Our final solution, when dealing with the tidal sheeries, was to have individuals disband from the part for their conversation with the Aessa, and with the Old Sherrie in the mushroom rings near DL.
IMO this is a bogus quest, and a waist of time. The XP is poor, the lvl 36 West Wind quest gave better XP, and the magic item drop isn't that great. I have a lvl 36 ring that is much better for my Blademaster, and it came from an earlier quest.
My recommendation; don't waist your time with this quest.

Aessa is a trickster and is using you to complete her tasks. You cannot believe what she tells you, be on your toes.
When she sends you to the cliff dwellers wearing the "immunity" necklace (from Laryelle)...BEWARE..the whole camp came after me. Blue and green con to level 50 player.
Aessa, Cliffs of Moher 4400/ 22K
Fanged Sinach, Cliffs of Moher 53K/ 36K (orange con to a lvl 50) spawned at 0hr, 0 min
Elder Tidal Sheerie, Connacht 40K/ 4600
Touched, Connacht 58K/ 6200
Sharptooth?
# Aug 20 2002 at 8:26 AM Rating: Default
Looks like you are doing the same thing I did.
You are killing Megafields - not Megafelids. I finally found one called the sharptooth megafelid at 35.9K, 51.8K in the Crauchan Gorge (SW of Ail)
Sharptooth?

I have hunted the megafelids behind Allaine hours on end, but no "sharptoothed megafelid" or no megafelid named Sharptooth spawning. Anyone have a /loc for him? Is there a specific way to get him to spawn? I hunted the megafelids that are just up from the white boars.
