DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different

Note and word of warning - If you turn in the commander's head first, you cannot turn in the lieutenant's heads afterwards, because turning in the commander head ends the quest and removes it from your log.

Per Read File Patch Feb. 04, 2003:
Players on the Under Attack quest will now only be able to turn in one head each from Lt. Yalris, Lt. Slor'vid and Lt. Grrar.

Quest starts with Frederik Rolby or Kimmy Glaze.

Frederik Rolby in Gothwaite Harbor talks about Drakorans attacking the forts. He sends you to speak with Kimmy Glaze in Anniogel. You are to seek out the Drakoran Commander and his Lieutenants. Commander Slor'vids and Lieutenants Grrar, Yal'ris, and Zudd can be found in the centeral of the 3 camps in the NW corner of the Isle of Glass. LOC for the camp is approx. 9095,9553. They pop right around the campfire. They appear from Midnight to 3 A.M. game time, if they are not siegeing the forts. The lieutenants will show up awhile before the commander. I found that you have to attack the lieutenants in order for the commander to show up. Yal'ris is a damaging spellcaster, Zudd is an archer, and Zudd is a healer. You really only have to kill Commander Slor'vids for the quest, but if you get the Lieutenants heads, you get a bonus. Take the Lieutenants heads to Kimmy Glaze in Anniogel.

Zudd's Head:
10 silver and some copper
18,067,464 xp at 43
Yal'ris Mind Jewel

Yal'ris Head:
10 silver and some copper
18,067,464 xp at 43
Zudd's Thug Bracer

Grrar's Head:
10 silver and some copper
18,067,464 xp at 43
Grrar's Cloak of Evasion

Take Commander Slor'vids head to Frederik Rolby in Gothwaite Harbor.

Reward:
10 silver and some copper
72,269,856 xp at 43
Staff of Repugnance

Rewards:
Mighty Sword -- Paladin
Golden Scimitar -- Reaver
Darkened Bow -- Infiltrator

Rewards:
  Zudd's Thug Bracer
  Grrar's Cloak of Evasion
  Staff of Repugnance
  Mighty Sword
  Yal'ris' Mind Jewel
  Golden Scimitar
  Darkened Bow

MMkay i just tried this quest for a whole day REAL TIME! They were gre green and blue and with a 48 paly they were no problem, but, but......I have never ever gotten the stoopid slor'vid drak dude to pop! Never! ANd i have camped and camped the stoopid drak camp over and over and killed the luitenants many time. Can i get any suggestions? Do i have to go to the forts after killing the luitenants? Cause i have checked them many a times. I remember once at lvl 22 i opened the fort door at night and there was one big drak and tons of little ones and they were there for like a freakin week. But of course when yo actually do the quest they arent there. How funny! Am i hopelessly lost forever ion the quest of doom? Some one please respond even in email, my address ic walkplease@sbcglobal.net! TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTY
Commander Slorvid

The Commander spawned for me (with many tries) shortly after the Lieutenants, between midnight and 1AM game time. I was determined to do this one solo, and because the Commander casts like crazy and apparently heals himself, I couldn't kill him solo with my friar until level 41, although I probably could have around level 35 if I didn't miss so often. The quest was offered at level 25 though, and it's a tough battle. Bring lots of help if you want to finish this one early.

Killed the commander and all his buds with my 44 necro like they were not there....EASY!!!
Difficult..
# Dec 02 2003 at 10:50 PM Rating: Good
I killed the Commander with a 50 cleric and myself, a 33 reaver. It was very difficult even then, Im surprised we made it :P

She started by buffing me to hell (in a good way) and when the lieutenants popped she got on them, as did I, a few minutes later, the Commander popped, the cleric I was with was afraid that if she healed me or hit the Commander, because it was grey to her, it would void the quest. We did not group during this incedent, and her healing me or doing majority damage to the Commander DID NOT void anything, I got the head of the Commander and a head of each lieutenant I hit that eventually died.

He took a LONG time to kill, and DOES despawn once Morning arrives (about 9hr game time I believe) The sun was rising and we were still fighting him, but he never despawned, so I am assuming he would if official morning hit.

I died once during the fight and had to be rezzed, but I still got the reward once he finally fell.

*** Everything you read about this quest is true, You can't do it solo, even at 40 probably, take a group of 3-4 in their 30's or take yourself and a 50ish to help!!***

Goodluck!
Armsman reward??
# Nov 27 2003 at 3:16 PM Rating: Decent
I just finished this quest with my 32nd Armsman. It took the help of a 50th lvl reaver from my guild, and even then i died and had to run back while The Grape kept the commander engaged. FYI, the commander is VERY tough for what he cons.

It gave me a two handed sword that is obviously for a paladin. My armsman is a straight sword/shield tank, lol. I wonder if I can appeal, seeing how I COULD have gotten a useful reward, instead of something worthless to me since i can't even use it.

Killing all three Lieutenants is easy and well worth it, if you do it right.

The camp where the officers spawn is the center camp of three, all are commonly populated by lower level drakoran skirmishers, mages, and the like. The exact /loc of the campfire that the officers spawn around is 8218, 9758. The new /faceloc feature added to the game in 1.64 will help you find this camp.

Once you are there, wait within sight of the camp until midnight. You will see the three Lieutenants spawn exactly at midnight. Immediately pull Grrar with any kind of ranged attack. If you are solo, he will charge you accompanied by 2 grey drakorans. He was green to me at level 32, and fell about as easily as his two grey comrades. Quickly attack Yal'ris next, and then run back from the camp to pull him away a bit. If you stay in one place he will stand still and nuke you from a distance. His casting is uninterruptable. Ignore the two grey cons he calls on you. When you see Yal'ris is a good distance away from the rest of camp, turn on him and force him to engage you in melee, kill him and his cohorts. He too was green at level 32 and fell easy. Do the exact same thing for Zudd, as he is an archer and will not engage you in combat unless you poison him or pull him away from the camp.

If you're quick enough, you can kill all three Lieutenants before the Commander pops. If you aren't fast enough, the Commander will pop and RESPAWN any of the Lieutenants you have already killed. When you aggro the Commander, he will bring the whole camp down on you. The best way to kill the Commander is to wait on him (sometimes for a full day) at the center fort occupied by the Avalonian outriders. Eventually, Grrar and the Commander will assault the fort. Kill the Commander in the confusion and slip away if you can, or stay and fight it out if you think you'll survive.

Does the Commander ever really siege the fort? I waited for him for over 1 full day (game time) and he didn't show up. I did see him spawn at the campfire once, but couldn't kill him there with all his henchmen about. I've killed the leutenants many times, and I'm getting tired of deleting their heads. They're all grey to me except the Commander, who is yellow and hits like a red.

Anyway, any further details on if & when the Commander ever attacks any fort would be welcome. Like, what time? Is it always the center fort? Does he attack at the doors? Does he walk there from the camp, or does he spawn at the fort? Any info at all would be much appreciated.

This quest is nice, except for waiting till midnight for the spawn. The biggest bonus is that they can do some very nice drops. Plus I have never had any spawn problems.
Infi reward
# Jun 29 2003 at 7:40 AM Rating: Decent
I had no issues with spawns (guess I'm just lucky). Got the to the camp at midnight (game time) and all three lieutenants and Slor were there. Killed all four with some time to spare (31 Inf and 50 Cleric) but needed a Cleric Insta because of Slor's AoE DD.

Infi Reward is a 10.5 dps Crossbow with DD proc.

i started this quest to get the bracer and got discouraged readin all these post bout how they can't kill the commander or that he doesn't pop and have to wait till next day (game time)... I too waited and gave up soon, but out of pure fustration i went back to Kimmy Glaze and handed the heads to her, to my surprise i got the bracer\cloak\and jewel... so i'm guessin the other posts were ppl who wanted to special reward, the staff or sword (i dunno)... although i got the items for the heads, my journal still has the quest (oh well) =P hope this helps for the ppl who want the jewel\bracer\cloak =D

I hate this quest. It's ridiculous for the quest mobs to not always spawn and to then finally spawn about 20 seconds before 3 and disappear mid-battle. Seems a waste of time and I would really like to just delete it from my quest log.
Commander Slor'Vid
# May 09 2003 at 1:42 AM Rating: Good
The commander will vanish at the stroke of 3am even if he is in combat. He can also take his time to spawn. When I did this quest we killed the lieutenants several times over before he finally popped with about 20 seconds to spare. This quest is very hard to solo even at quite a high level as you will find it difficult to do enoughdamage to him before he vanishes. The only way we could do it (party made up of 44, 43 and 50 Paladins with a 44 Friar) was to all jump on him the minute he spawned and even then we were only just in time. Unless you are a pbaoe group this will be an exercise in frustration.
Slightly Bugged (More Than?)
# Apr 20 2003 at 9:26 AM Rating: Excellent
I can't ever seem to kill the Commander...I've killed his lieutenants six or seven times now --they're mostly gray now with one weak green -- and I get lots of heads. I've only managed to get the Commander to pop once (also green), and he was around for all of 3 minutes before de-popping while I was beating on him. I've never seen anything de-pop while in combat. Is this quest broke?

COmmander Slor'Vid, even when he pops, has now depopped 4 times on me, while in combat. Even though he is blue to me, he's got a large amount of life, and I can never seem to kill him in time, no matter how much I toss at him. I can usually kill reds in less time, in all honesty.

Can't find the Drakorans
# Mar 16 2003 at 12:14 AM Rating: Decent
I can't find the named Drakorans. There are no camps in the north east corner of the Isle of Glass however there is a sprawling camp in the north west which could be considered as three separate camps if you chose to. Anyway I lurked there all night and didn't see anything except the grey con grunts. Checked the forts periodically and no sign of them there either.
Am I missing something here?

Note and word of warning - If you turn in the commander's head first, you cannot turn in the lieutenant's heads afterwards, because turning in the commander head ends the quest and removes it from your log.

Kimmy Glaze doesn't seem to want the heads of the Lieutenant's. Frankly, neither do I. Anyone have any suggestions as to who else I could give them to?
