I farmed this mob in a 2 person party, a friar and tic, with no difficulty. It was harder getting to the dungeon.

Location: The mob is near the northeast corner of the map.

About this encounter: Clear the room of mobs prior to attacking the Archmage, very small auto agro range. When attacked, the Archmage will spawn 4 orbs of power which will float around the room, 3 around the outside and one high in the center. They can be attacked by physical damage or spells very easily as they con yellow to a 50 and have a damage shield of ~15 damage.

The Archmage can not be attacked until his power orbs are taken down starting with the three around the room and finishing with the one high in the center. He will cast void bolts at whoever was hitting the orbs. After all the orbs are down the Archmage will not be able to be attacked for a minute or so, just keep melee on him and he will be attackable.

When I did this encounter the friar dropped a FOH and tanked the main mob while the tic killed all the orbs then attacked him.
