Dogs
# Dec 29 2006 at 2:35 PM Rating: Decent
Whatever you do, don't let those dogs get out of her lair. One dog will come back with around 6 red and purple drakulvs. We let a dog escape two times in one of our raids. We didn't wipe, but it did cause some complications. If you have a well organized group, you should be able to kill the drakulvs. If you have a better organized group, you wouldn't have let the dogs escape the lair.

Talks?
# Jul 28 2006 at 12:11 PM Rating: Decent
I don't know if she does this anymore, but my friend accidentally camped in the area after an unsuccessful raid and got pwned by the dragon when she logged in. And then the dragon started talking. Does Gjalpinulva still talk to you when she kills you?

P.S.

She looks a lot like a dragon with a wolf's head.

Yeah, She flies around from time to time and if she is close to you she will kill you with her breath attack. And she does still talk to you after she kills you.

On my last post about the midgard dragon I left out a player in both of the tank groups... that slot can be almost anything like a skald for DA or another warr/valk/thane and all should be lvl 50 its ok with a few lvl 48-49 though

I kill the dragon all the time with 21-25 people and a few bots (like mine and maybe 2 others). he is not hard here is what you need... 3 groups and 1 solo.. 2 of the groups are best set as follows....1 aug healer 1 meand healer 1 aug shammy 2 thane/valks 2 warriors... The last group shoud be 1 pac healer 1 aug shammy 1 shield thane/valk/warrior/savage for protect on healer 5 casters to gaurd the exits...Solo is best a shammy or healer helping with rezzes... if all are ml5 and have pf then spread em out. tanks gaurd each other and protect the halers and shammies. when she has about 30% health left
drop a few det fields...she will stun for 30 secs i said stun not mezz...eoy is a nice touch as well... when she glares you run away from the zerg....not toward the exits either cause the casters are there and we dont want them dead...if she calls for her babies to come and aid her then f8 and kill them caster are important here dont let em out the exits and that is how it's done make sure healers keep cold resists up and you should be fine. thanes and valks will alternate useing call of 1000 storms Good Luck and Good Hunting

I have several pics of it, but I don't have a place to host them. Over on the Tristan server, the dragon was killed twice a day for a week, with 27 people. If you bring over a hundred people the dragon goes berzerk and kills everyone. With good leadership the dragon can easily be killed within an hour.

bah don't complain, it's no problem if you get everyone to listen to whoever's leading your 100-200-person dragon raid...we've had 2 successful dragon raids in midgard on kay now, and we killed it TWICE in one of the raids cuz it repopped...i believe we had just over 100 on the most recent raid. As long as you take care of the little crap around him and stay inside the ruins and DO NOT NUKE HIM (runemasters - me), you should be fine for the most part...get a 50 warrior with SC'd armor to take the aggro the whole time and consta-taunt, it helps...

You ve got to be inside the hort to fight. If ANYONE outside the hort attacks the dragon, he will cast his AE.
Btw. killing Yar will reduce the CHance that the Dragon´s going to exhale :P

no fun to kill
# Sep 25 2002 at 5:30 AM Rating: Default
dragons in this game suck. they are not fun to fight at all. getten wasted in .2 seconds isnt fun. yea he can be killed. but who bothers most of the time. its always up and no one cares. Mythic needs to lower the dmg output of this thing and if they have to give it more hp.

The time it takes to get everyone together. get grouped buffed. set up the attack plan. work your way out there. then die is a second flat is a waste of time. at least give the player the opertunity to live 60 seconds ago to really enjoy what he is doing.

Thats the point.

Dragons are supposed to be virtually unkillable.

I love this thing. You hear the dragon broadcast then 'poof' you die. huge chat lag from 40 somewhat people dead in .5 seconds and your chat scrolls 4 pages.

Wussy? One burst of breath and a level 40+ party is ready to release. A 50 group manages to hold its own for an incredible two seconds. 100 foolhardy players get demolished inside the dragon's lair. Yah, what a wuss.
