At and around 18k / 22k Pennine, in New Frontiers. No sign of Draco Magnificens since NF was introduced though.

No, there's many dragons, like the one in Dartmoor and theres a weaker on in llyn barfog, over the lake

I cam across 1 of these monsters the other night, and we (lvl 50 merc, lvl 49 theurg and lvl 37 cleric) killed it without too much trouble. Their big, but not too hard.

There is no great brown drake in the hadrians wall zone at all. I don't know what you're talking about.
And to my knowledge i've counted three of the GBD's roaming at one time.

I came across this thing in the Pennine Mts. as I was scouting around. I found a few drakes and then I saw her. Took my breathe away. I wasn't even that close to her but she got me anyway. My running was in vain as I only died tired. Big Mob, watch out for her, if you come up on her from one particular direction you wont even see her cave until you're right on top of it..

IF you look at the everquest website, nearly all mobs and items have comments that tell what they do or where they are found. If you know info post it, doesn't take but 2 minutes and if everyone does it then this website will have as much info as the EQ one. I put this here because I know alot of people want to look up the great brown drake and they will see this when they do.

There is not just one of these either. The other night we saw 3 of them. 2 linked (walking together) and one alone...so not just the Great Brown Drake but the Great Brown Drakes (plural) fun fun

Ok these drakes are in Pennine at about loc 40,45.
They are on the way to Caer Boldiam from Berkstead or Excalibur.
I was in an army that was trying to recapture Boldiam from the middies when we ran into a few of these things. The army of 50+ guys was slaughtered to a man.

That would be me in that picture. I was roaming the Pennines and came accross that. I saw a few little drakes around and then WHAM! Up over the hill comes big momma brown drake. One toasty fireball later and I'm taking a nice dirtnap. The sheer size of the thing blew me away though. Freaking huge!

A group on Gawaine killed the GBD. He is found in the peninnes at the Brown Drake Nest. SW of Caer Erasliegh. Not that tough really if you have a 40's group. Watch out for the Young Brown Drakes though, they have an AE that can hurt.

Roughly...it's 41000, 32000
You need to come into it from the eastern end of Pennine Mountains.
Have fun! He's not alone and will whoop you good.

Ok, I believe you....could you direct me to where to find him in P. Mountains? I spent the better part of an evening looking. There aren't any decent maps of P Mts that I can find.

This mob is actually in the Hadrian's Wall zone....not here as listed.
Trust me on this one...
While he might also be in Hadrians, there's a hill in Penninne which grows tombstones because of this fellow. I've added quite a few myself.
Nice thing though, he can be killed with a good group of 7 44ish players.
