Muire Tomb

Concaire Muire and his family were rich landowners prone to greed and haughtiness. Bitter and ranckled from years of cruel treatment, Muire serfs cast an evil eye upon the family. A dementia slowly started to afflict Concaire Muire until one night, he murdered his entire household and then killed himself. The family's tomb has since been a place of unrest.

As of Dark Age of Camelot Version 1.50, Muire Tomb has been expanded, and there are mobs here that are blue to a level 26, with the dungeon going even lower in past that point.

Word to the wise...Quillian, the dungeon boss can and frequently does kill Lvl 30 characters and he draws at least 2 champs a hero and a herbalist for heals, so be ready for a serius fight if you want to solo Quillian.

Another way to get here, is to go to ardee. You will see a hill, go up it, the tomb is mossy, the entrance is a small opening go in, and ure set.

The 1.50 patch has increased the size and difficulty of the tomb. The Hellhag now patrols the 2nd level. New monsters include Corpse devourers (18th), tomb dwellers (19th), Muire Heroes (19th), Muire Champions (20th). Since I am 18th level I have only gone a little into the new areas. They may be a whole lot more than I can see (read survive)

While the 1st level is still the 10-20 range I agree with the last post. The update for the 2nd level has led to some difficulty (read: staying alive)for my 19th level Druid. The pet is regularly wacked and I've had to back out on several occasions (read: run like hell!) It does keep the Tomb interesting though!

If your level 12-18, this play has some nice loot rings and stuff. I went there for half an hour or so and got a ring that I use on my 19 ranger and a nice enchanter staff with bonuses.

I've just returned from Muire about half an hour ago and i think some of the levels of mobs are wrong..
Im a level 14 Warden and Suitor Spirits conned Yellow and Conaire Muire Conned Orange

Just in there on Pallomiedes - Group of 7, Hero 14, Champion 13(me), Druid 14, Druid 9, Enchanter 9, Eld 10, warden 10 We sat on the ramp between lvls 1/2 and managed to take out the Kacey Muire and group of up to 5. Great exp for the levels involved. We ended up with some of the following last night: Jewel of Madness, Old Noble Boots, Splendid Scale Leggings, couple pairs of silk gloves, belt of something (+3 int,+6hits) some other cloth armor - in about 2-3 hours. drops of magic seem to only come from humanoids - haven't seen a worm drop anything but worm parts, but its all random, so who knows. Just bring some healers and you can really get some good exp from it. Good luck

i think he is referring to (possibly) the "crystal bleeder" i remember the DPS is 5.2 something or rather. (useable in left hand) i got it if off of a death worm. let me knwo if you need more info

Rangers with sneak spec skill 9 and above rule in muire, i buff myself, sneak, and go to crossroads of all the halls on floor 1, (make sure u have plenty of arrows), look to the hall i just came, and pull any blues or yellows, once that is cleared or my health is low, i simply sneak and sit. when health is good again, i look to the second hall, pull everything and repeat. Make sure u leave urself enough stamina to sprint to the zone cause crypt spiders sometimes walk through while ur killin somthing. This is best at lvl 14, 15 because everything is blue or yellow. hehe and make sure sneak is 9 or above.

Beware on lvl 2...
My 17 Hero and a 17 Druid thought we would be fine on lvl 2, untill he pulled Conaire Muire...

Conaire was rooted, but 4 Murkmen conning blue to us trained in... somehow we managed the 4 Murks, and Conaire was about dead, when here comes another Murk from around the corner.

Apparently, all the murkmen are tied in that area (1st South intersection on second floor), and if you dont kill all of them that come for you, the ones that spawn will come help the train that they are tied to. We even pulled the train to the top of the stairs, and the spawns that formed still came from some ungodly spawn place on the second floor.

In the realm of Hibernia. Near the town of ardee just North of Mag Mell. You cross the path from the bind stones and head up the hill in a West-Northwest fashion. Stay on top of the hills and keep going west. You will soon come to the entrance to Muire Tomb. It's a stone entrance with columns and cobwebs amidst some trees.

On MOBs.. First floor was mostly green-blue with the occasional yellow at lvl 15. lvl 16, highest is blue to me. Second floor was all yellow at 15 with an orange or a red here and there. Regina always conned orange at 15, so did Kayce and Alsandair. The tomb creepers downstairs conned anywhere from blue to red, reds being way in and back and right before the third floor. murkmen range from lvl 15-16. Beare and Conaire both con red up to 16, and they're guards are 15-17 in lvl. Theres also carrion scorpians, they spawn all in one spot, up to 4 of them, they range from 15-16, carrion scorpians upstairs 1 lvl are lvl 15. Hellhag and her minions all con even at 15.

On loot drops:
MacAbre is a AF 22 leather armor, Old Noblemen's armor is the same although it's reinforced. Old silk is AF 11. All are blue at 15 and 16, con even at 14. Lavish armor also drops, but I've never gotten a peice, I think you have to be about 17 to get it. I've only seen 1 peice of splendid scale armor drop, but I didnt get it.
I've seen 2 sheilds drop, Sheild of the Decendants, and Gold Embossed sheild. Decendants has dropped from HellHag and Kacey Muire, and I've only seen 1 gold emobssed, it dropped from HellHag. Decendants shield is small while the gold embossed is large. The large shield has str and dex bonus, I think +2 each. Weapon drops are rare, I've only seen Finely Crafted spear (never got it, not sure about stats), it's dropped twice and I hear its awesome. Worm Gaudy Staff of Mentalism, +7 Mentalism, light magic, and something else, not sure what though, only seen it drop once off Kacey Muire. The armor I've found usually drops of mummy hags, so your probaly better off hunting them for armor.
The silver runed great hammer drops down here somewhere, never gotten it though. Also the bauble studded belt, I think it gives bonuses to empathy and charisma, not sure though. Belt of the deranged gives +15 hp. Seen that one drop off Kacey Muire, Lady-in-waiting, and Alsandair Muire.

1st level is good to solo at level 13, or 8-13 with a group.

2nd level is good to solo from levels 16-18 or group with lowest levels are 14. Any lower than 14 don't go to 2nd level.

3rd level is good to solo at level 18 or 19. Group it starting at 16-17.

All monsters aggro in this dungeon unless they con grey.

The loot is good to very good here. I have found level 18 weapons on the 2nd level and sold them to other players for much more than merchants will pay.

Ok, was there last night and this armor kept dropping something called Macabre Jerking i believe, why can't you find any info on this dropped armor anywhere?

It is just one of the many armors dropped there. for Cloth armor it is old silk, Leather is Macabre, and Reinforced is old Nobles.
General recon

Two Tomb Creepers pop near the stairs coming into the zone. These are the lowest lvl MOBs in the dungeon. Con green at 14. Crypt Spiders and hags which are found in on the 1st level are lvls 13 & 14. There is also a Hellhag(lvl 14/15) who spawns randomly and patrols the main intersection with two other hags. Attacking any of them will almost always bring all 3.

2nd level is more hags(13/14), death worms(14-15), Murkmen(con orange to red at 14), Suitors(yellow to orange at 14), Tomb Creepers(only much tougher than ones at zone in - yellow to red at 14).

Scorpia Regina(or something like that) is down one of the halls and is the lone scorp in that room(think some murkmen spawn in there). She cons red to purple at 14.

There doesnt seem to be any standard timer for the monsters/rooms. You can clear a room and it might not pop for 5 mins, but then when you clear it again it may fully pop 60 secs later. So its not really a good idea to pull across other rooms as you may come back thru a fully popped room.

You can single pull spiders and worms. Creepers and the undead usually come in multiples. I have seen druid/mentalists dots single pull hags, but it wasnt full proof. Sometimes it worked... sometimes it didnt.

This place is full of deaths and wipe-outs, but its also not stop action which is why I love this zone.

The scorpion is orange at level 15, guessing it's 16. And near that area is some Muire chick with ladies in waiting and suitors, most are yellow, the Muire chick is orange. Below that past the deathworm/murkmen room in that area is an even tougher muire chick, havn't killed her yet..surrounded by to much harder crap.

There are Mummy hags, Crypt spiders, Death worms, Muire men-at-arms, Murkmen, Concaire muire, Tomb creepers, some mean scorpions, and a big mean scorpion. First floor, you travel down the stairs from the entrance. Then there will be two outlets on either side just as you turn right that can hold Tomb creepers. Two small chambers with more creatures goes until a ramp. The room right below the ramp, splits left, forward, right, or you can go back. There are rooms adjacent on the left and right (and further from what I have seen), and forward, there are two more outlets with Tomb creepers, and one when you turn left (almost right after). Directly after this turn almost, is the ramp down to the third level. Down there, are Muire men-at-arms, Concaire Muire, scorpions, and the big bad scorpion is either there or on a next level (a large group of level 11's through 18's were slaughtered by all the regular scorpions, like 4 or 5).

There are murkmen in here that are still RED to a lvl 13 Bard that was in my group.

I have also seen a named Scorpion in here at the end of one of the halls. Was Purple+++ at lvl 12 and would aggro.

I've also seen the little guys in here that look like curmedgeons (sp?), but I don't think that is their name. Orange and yellows in here at 12.
