Koalinth Tribal Caverns

The Koalinth are a coastal / marine species of hobgoblins. A tribe of the Koalinth have migrated from their traditional homelands which are under the sea off of the coast. They have taken over a series of caves and ancient tunnels near the Cliffs of Moher. From here they stage hunting raids on nearby settlements, and can still reach the sea easily to communicate with their homeland. It is unknown why these creatures are moving from their natural element to invade the lands of Hibernia, which until now they have largely avoided. The fact that they would undertake such a drastic move hints at darker powers.

Solo here frequently (27 Druid-solo spec'd)mainly out of boredom & for loot, tons of blues & greens. If you're going much further than the rooms past the bridge, you'd be well advised to be on high guard; yellows have spawned right on top of me while fighting 2-3 blues, in the lower rooms.

Ive read on Allakhaza that there is a nice spear drop in this dungeon, a Fathomless Spear, dps 8.0 spd 3.8 or something like that.

Yet i read here that there are no drops at all, which is correct ?

And if it is available here, what mob drops it ?

I found this on a post below...

As of the patch on 3/5/2002, this dungeon is itemized.

Was just down here with 7 other people (full group, mainly guildmates), levels from 15 to 21. 2 healers seemed to be enough to get by, but mezzing was definitely necessary. Having a pet to hold off mobs works well too. Most mobs conned orange-red to a 21, purple to me (17). The bridge isn't terribly difficult if you can pull the melee koalinths from afar and rush the caster. We didn't get down to the elder spawns, but found nice, steady exp in the arena pit, with wrestlers and spectators (they did add, 2-3 at a time). All in all, I got a full level in under an hour here, and got some nice money drop. (Some stuff selling to npcs for 20-25s.)

I explored there at lvl 35 and took a lvl 25 friend with me, everything at 35 was gray and easy for my ranger to take out. Only thing that was green was the eldar, but he was a sinch cuz his guards were gray. Be careful though cuz my 25 friend drew TONS of aggro and the monsters respawn pretty quickly.

#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 27 2002 at 11:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You act like this is over you ******. Your llama *** had nothing to do with the assault obviously since you were here taunting us. Go grow a **** you worthless piece of ****.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 25 2002 at 5:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hiya Hibbies. I am a Midgardian on Iseult. You know, the server where you own NOTHING! Where Midgard has 4 relics and Albion has 2 leaving you a fat ZERO in that dept. The same place where Midgard owns 4 of your forts and Albion has all the others but 1. Thats all you have....1 fort. You should never have mistreated me when you killed me in 30-35 BG. In the end it was I that danced on your corpses and drank of your blood. You defiled me first so now I leave you this. Tis I that gets the last laugh and the emotes I gave to your fallen....MUAHAHAHA. You are more of a collection of fairies than a child's storybook

I personally like this dungeon, a friend and I have succesfully ventured as far as the crabs and elder spawn, but alas... only good pulls and teamwork will get you anywhere... and yes, there are no drops; off anything, in the dungeon. (24 Ranger, 18 Mentalist) FYI.

Yes, this dungeon is not itemized right now. Only cash drops, so I guess it's good if you are in need of some fundage.

To get to it, grab a horse to Tir Uphost and walk up to the city when you get booted off of the horse. From the city, turn S and start running. But be careful, at lvl 22, everything from Tir Uphost to Koalinth was purple and aggro, so watch your step ;)

Is this place itemized yet or just another @#!@# dungen to get killed in.

This dungeon isn't very good unless you are in the low 20's and don't plan on killing anything other than entrance mobs.

First obstacle is the bridge. There are 6 spawns on the other side, 3 will be casters. You need a mezzer to get by here.

After getting past the bridge, you will be in the pillar room. To the right is the Elder area, and accross the room from the entrance, leads down to the crabs.

The Elder room will bring at minimum 7 spawns. Meanwhile the Elder will blast you into next week while you fight. If you can take this room, you aren't getting very good xp at all.

The crabs are higher level than the Koalinths, but not too difficult. These do however, have a VERY large agro radius and spawn randomly. You may go to pull one and end up with 4 by the time you kill the first.

Bad dungeon design overall IMO, with no reward for any level range.
Where is this place?

Where in Cliffs of Moher is this place? Can anyone give me a loc or directions? Thanks!

/loc 26k, 55k. Go from Ardag to Tir Urphost (horse) and then, SOUTH. U`ll find a hill, go top and continue SOUTH and u`ll find that place. Good for 22-27 players (I don`t recomend 28 solo; all grey or green con to them)

Have explored some - the first few rooms had mobs blue to a 22, with some pulls bringing 3. There are a few wandering mobs, so you can get adds.

The mobs turned yellow, and then orange and red eventually. There is a large room with a bridge that has a casting mob, all the rest seem to be melee. If you fall down the pit in the bridge room, there are neutral frogs red to 22, but they will assist each other. You can explore down in the pit, and you can also climb a ledge out of it.

There are at least one or two boss type mobs, purple to 22, but since the dungeon is not itemized, not much advantage to killing them.

I was here yesterday.
Begining guards where grey to a Lvl 28 druid. There where some wondering mobs that where green, which i pulled and killed with ease.
