Hall of the Corrupt

Entrance located in Pennine Mountains 31K, 11K

drops work based on several factors, the prefix, the level of the item (dictated by imbue points I believe) and the quality of the item. Prefix's are only the primary stat. There are 3 other stats as well that seem to be almost completely random but tend to be linked to the item or class that can use it in some small way (this is not always true). Here is what I have so far
Fortifying-Constituon
Flameborn-Fire Magic skill
Adroit-Dexterity
Speedy-Quickness
Fervent-Piety
Decimator-Polearm skill
Bladeblocker-Parry skill
Slash shield-slash resist
Crush Shield-crush resist
cold shield-cold resist
fire shield-fire resist
energy shield-matter resist (not sure on this..may have been spirit resist)
Perforator-longbow skill
Lifetaker-either envenom or critical strike not sure which because the ring we got had +3 to both skills, our infiltrator was ecstatic :)

R.I.P. HoC
# Aug 03 2004 at 10:09 PM Rating: Decent
Unfortunately with NF, HoC has been replaced by a 'new thing'. I've gone down there once but couldn't get passed the first couple of without running into crazy agro. I would like to think that Lady Darra and friends have a home in this new dungeon, although I wouldn't be surprised if they just took them out completly. =/

Does anyone know if the old named mobs still exist in this new dungeon?

Sargeant Eddison, yellow to 47. Guards add with him.
Cure for Leprosy?
# Oct 21 2002 at 9:49 AM Rating: Default
Myself (lvl 41 theurg) and a lvl 50 wizard guildie of mine went in just to check it out, and even though we slaughtered everything we saw (only really made it down around the widow claws as we were called on to a relic defense), but we both contracted leprosy and could not for the life of us get rid of it. Is there a cleric spell that gets rid of it, or are you basically sol until the timer runs out? We were both easy pickings on the frontier, I know I was at half health and just could not get all my life back before the first wave of middies charged.

cleric's cure disease can get rid of it. Also when alchemy hits I believe you can buy potions made with alchemy that will dispell it. I imagine that those will probably be a hot commodity :)

Prefix's

Trying to get a list of as many as I can but it appears that drops work based on several factors, the prefix, the level of the item (dictated by imbue points I believe) and the quality of the item. Thats all I have so far. These don't give any indication of the secondary stats you will get or the actual quality of the stats themselves because that is dictated by the factors I listed above, obviously the tougher the enemy the better the stats on the item. This is more so you know what you get when they drop in a group, ie what class its best for. If I get anything more I'll post addendums but I think I got the majority of them.

RE: Prefix's
# Oct 22 2002 at 11:45 AM Rating: Default
Thunderer's-staff skill
Protector's-shield skill
also perforator's-thrust skill (not longbow).
also I've got some monster/item level matchups
innocents-level 36-38 items (no weapons)
ghostly knights/man at arms/named knights-43-48 (all types including weapons)
watchmen lieutenant and restless watchmen-48-50 items
wizard-49-50 caster items
wizard apprentice-43-45 caster items
cleric-43-45 cleric/friar type items
archwizard-level 50 caster items
senior guardsmen-fighting class (rogue/tank) level 50 items
spectral paladin-level 49 tank items (weapons are all I have ever seen drop from them)
Think that about covers it. Widow Claws have never dropped an item that I have heard about. I don't believe they are able to. They do drop loot that sells for 3-5 gold though.

I am not sure what you are wanting. All you see when you click my name is my profile, which atm you cannot view from this page since it is actually on an EQ server not a DAoC one. I just put in request to get that fixed.

I posted all the items and mob pics that Demi sent in, you will just have to check the update to see where they went.

were these "unique" drops (ie random) or did they drop off named mobs? I have gotten precious few weapons here so I didn't know if they had random procs as well but if so thats certainly pretty cool. Really even if your a high level the entrance mobs are great for farming twink item drops because I got some really exceptional items for scouts and infs and a really excellent theurg ring for my low level theurg. Drop rates on the entrance mobs are pretty reasonable, they seem to get rarer the harder the mobs get to the point where the senior guards and the archwizzies almost never drop. But when they do..holy cow. Check out some of the pics of the items I got when DF gets around to posting them. Amazing stuff.

Where do you Bind?
# Oct 08 2002 at 8:58 AM Rating: Default
Whats the best Palce to bind, for this dungeon?
(Hall of Corrupt)
RE: Where do you Bind?
# Oct 08 2002 at 11:40 AM Rating: Default
well it depends, for a tank Sauvage is probably best, then you can haste your way to the place (using hasteners). If you are a caster that has haste as a spell then I personally would say snowstation, cause you can run up to snowdania and just run left from the fort into penine and your pretty much at sursbrooke immediately. For a tank the short trip without haste is about the same as the hasted trip from sauvage, or so it seems to me.

I hastened from Snow fortress to Hurbury then on to Surs.. only 1 fortress to hit that way... not sure where you can bind close enough to Snow Fortress though.
Here's a more comprehensive list!

I'm gonna do another raid tomorrow to get pics but here is some info as much as I can give you guys. As always since I'm not level 50 its hard to pinpoint the exact levels. But its pretty easy to figure out from the con info I'm gonna provide. Here we go
Halls of the Corrupt
Innocent-Green and Blue at 47, proc a 40 minute disease that keeps you from regening and halfs healing spells.
Widow Claw-big crab Blue and Yellow at 47. Drop shells that sell for a nice 3 gold each.
Ghostly Knight-Yellow at 47
Ghostly Man at Arms-Blue/Yellow at 47 later on they move to orange/red at 47
Cleric-Blue at 47
Wizard Apprentice-blue and yellow at 47
Wizard-Orange and red at 47
Watchman Lieutenant-orange and red at 47
Various knight captains/sergeant/lieutenants etc as well but there are too many to name, as far as I could tell they don't drop anything particular.
Senior Guardsmen-Purple at 47, very hard they parry and block and can make you bleed as do alot of the named knight captains and such.
Archwizard-Purple at 47, tough but not overly. They nuke for alot though
Spectral Paladin-Purple at 47, tougher than guardsmen, they are usually attached to a high level named and are nearly invisible so it seems like a suprise add when they show up.
Archwizard Aideon-Purple at level 50, very very hard. It was tough for 2 full groups to bring him down but we did it. He dropped the only non unique item I have seen come from that dungeon, Royal Arcane Staff of Matter. As one would expect it was pretty awesome.
Lord Gildas-Purple at level 50, very very hard. Same difficulty as the Archwizard Aideon, he blocks and parries like mad, very hard to hit. He dropped nothing when we killed him but I assume like Aideon he drops something of his own thats not like the other randomized drops. Gildas is in the bottom of a pit that looks EXACTLY like the pit where the scaled fiends hang out in barrows, if you peak down on the left side of the bridge you can see him in the area where deep goblins would be in barrows.
Lady Dara-Purple at 50, first time I went to dungeon with 1 group she killed us. Very hard. She's in the same spot that Wizard Lichas is in barrows, the advisor room, instead of advisors you have archwizards along the top walls.
That about covers the Halls of Corrupt. Now there is another zone, if you go past the bridge area where Gildas is you will see a place that looks like a cross between the megawight room and Keltoi, there is a door to the left where you zone into a Darkness falls copy. This area is called the Summoner Hall. Whoever is incharge of the site (Illia?) might want to make it a seperate zone since it actually is a seperate entity. Its where the zones connect across the 3 realms. There were a ton of nuetral mobs there and a few aggro ones, Deep Wolves, purple at 50 were aggro. The highest non boss mobs seem to be sidhe magickers and other sidhe. Very tough to kill with even 2 full groups. Then there are the 3 summoners, we tried to kill one and it was not even close. Approaching Legion difficulty there, they summon tons of purple con bows and cast spells, mez and everything else. In reality they are about as hard as Prince but the summoning and spells make them much harder battles, bring 3 to 4 groups at least. About the nastiest caster mob I've ever seen. Beyond that in what in DF is Legions room is The Grand Summoner. We didn't even try. I expect he is harder than Legion. My group went up the hib side and worked our way back outside. We actually killed more level 50+ named in their dungeon than ours, theirs was laid out a little better and appeared to be a replica (I think) of the Coruscating Mines. Anyways I hope this info was helpful to you when doing your own raids and such. One thing to keep in mind, the ghostly knights in the middle section are very tough because they have huge aggro range and will baf through, under and behind walls. So you will be sitting in what appears to be a open area and a endless stream of them will suddenly appear and run at you, and they will keep doing it usually. Its hard to get a breather. Once you get deeper in its much easier to rest and the adds deep in usually only come in 2s and 3s not 5+.

wanted to add to my previous post, the top section(innocents/widow claw/easy ghostly guys) is really good for a cleric/tank duo of high 30s/low to mid 40s for farming drops, the drops are much more frequent up top and I have gotten some ridiculously good items up there.

I'll do my best, alliance response has been apathetic over the last few days largely because the last raid while fun yielded few drops and because the real good stuff comes off the summoners/grand summoner which require at 3 to 5 groups. Hopefully by this weekend I can get you some. At the very least I will send you a few screenshots tonight of the first 5 or 6 mobs. Thanks for posting the info.

I've got pics! Had a raid last night and the night before and got some nice pics, I'll pick through em tonight and send a little package to Darkflame so they should be up in a few days. Some new info though.
Lady Dara-One group can kill her, she's a tough cookie but the key is to peel of 2 tanks (you should have 4 fighters on her at least) to take out the spectral pally that adds with he. The paladin will heal her which is a very bad thing. She drops a Royal Arcane Great Sword, got a picture of that and will send it to DF also with the mob pictures.
Aidon the Archwizard (the name I gave was incorrect)-Last time I killed him he was very easy and with a group and half he seemed simple. We tried on Saturday with 2 full groups and got massacred, he behaved completly different. Either we got lucky the first time or ME tweaked the heck out of him. What he does now is that once he is hit he creates 3 mirror images of himself. They mirror images are all the same hp and damage as him, if you don't mez them will nuke the heck out of you. The best thing to do is stay on the original and try and keep the rest mezzed, attacking them is a waste as he will just do it again. This makes for a extremely tough fight as he does BIG damage with his nukes. I would say you need 2 really good groups or 2 and a half competent groups to have a shot. He's really nasty. He also guards the way to the lower section so if you wanna get to the summoner hall ya gotta get past him. Thats why I have no pics of the summoner hall for you Darkflame, maybe soon.

where exactly is the entrance to the dungeon?
What we saw..
# Sep 27 2002 at 12:18 AM Rating: Good
Myself and Cleric zoned in when we got online..

Entrance mobs..fairly easy, don't baf with a duo/trio really. Went down a bit..killed a few of the ghostly knights/men at arms....yellow and occassional orange to 45..baf like crazy.

Went a bit deeper...started to get ugly as hell..had 4 baf on a group of 2..got wiped..got rez'd....went back up..got wiped by 4 mids camping the entrance.

Going to head back in this weekend probably and see what we can find, see if I can't grab a few SS's of mobs and some approx levels to start something going up in here.

EDIT I'm a 45 merc...I really gotta change that sig....

from what I can tell its a huge dungeon. What I know first hand is that the entrance level monsters are green and blue to a 47 arms and a are called "Innocent" they appear to be all undead and they drop randomized magical loot as the patch notes indicated, I got one such item (Power Bracer level 38 wrist item) before a level 50 Hib killed me. One important fact I found out was that this dungeon is obviously designed to be anti solo. The monsters I went up against, all proc a disease spell called Leprosy that lasts FORTY minutes. Yes thats right, Forty minutes. So for a pure tank, thats a killer. Had I not been killed I probably would have been able to make it to the next set of enemies which is supposedly some sort of ghost knights that are said to BAF like crazy. Guild mates described it as similar to Keltoi. I dunno, it seemed more like Stonehenge to me, but that later on you zone into a DF like area where mobs are nuetral. I'll update this more tonight, as I wanna try and do a big raid of the place and see just how big and tough it gets.
