I'm currently lvl 13 almost 14, I use mind/matter my mind is currently at 10/matter4. I havent used any spec points since lvl 9 and when I hit 14 I should have about 50 to use and most of them will go into mind cause thats what every sorcerer's most spec line should be. We are a very inportant asset in groups and we can also solo very good. Correct me if I'm wrong (from reading the other treads) why would you put points into str and con when creating a charater????.. If your going to do that just make a melee class. I wouldnt worry to much about str/con just get your main stats up frist where you would be more helpful. I mean if some of you think str/con is good way to go then fine.

Also you get realm pts in bfg's which you can also spec out with, which will also make you a better socerer. If anyone has the time also work on your spellcrafting skillz. If you have nothing to do one day sit in town for an hr or so and train in that it will pay off at higher lvls. It took me about 3hrs to get up to 250 with about 12g when I was lvl 8. If you could hook up the lower lvl's. It wont matter anyway cuase your armor/leather/cloth, gets to low for you to use anyway just hand them down and save someone else the time.. Besides it will make you feel better helping out someone else and the rewards later on can be great. Well good luck to all I will post more up later on.

Matter specced sorc

Hi everyone. I'm currently a level 20 sorc on Pellinor, and I'm balanced Mind/Matter. Contrary to what everyone else is preaching I think this is the best spec line to solo with. I'm having a blast soloing and I'm still effective in a group. For a group a sorc must be so focused on crowd control nuking doesn't matter, and for soloing the stacked DOT's provide a low aggro massive damage combination.

I plan to go all the way to 44 mind, so my Matter spec will suffer a little later on, but I just wanted to give the other sorcs out there something to think about.

Dex,Int and Con...dont mess with anything else. What would Str do for you? You dont melee and if your are worried about carrying more you sacrifice your main stats. Now for specing. Im sure each has its advatages but I've gone all matter. This holds many advantages for soloing and rvr though if you're grouping and have no healer I might see how some might go body. Now for soloing. You have a pet to do your dirty work, if you spec in spirit you have a good strong pet but lack any fire power, body you have fire power but with your siphon health line of spells you draw agro like heals, that leaves matter which gives you 2 stackable dots that enable you to solo oj and some reds. Also if you do draw agro you can still run and do damage. As for rvr one of the most under rated spells is the near sight line, the ability to cut bolt casters range from 1850 to around 700 along with archers will give you and your realm mates a clear advantage over your enemies and AoE DoT can do more than its share of damage after purge has been poped. Though I will say with body you have the spell that cuts heals in half on your target is also very nice....just my two bits.

INT, DEX, then CON. you need the extra HP in RvR from the CON, the DEX makes you cast faster, and INT is a basis for how your spells do.

There's a spell missing from this list...Barrier of Warding is received at lvl 19. Absorbs one damaging hit.
Matter Specialization

Does anyone actually put points into matter specialization ?

I am a 18th level sorcerer and my skills are as follows :

Mind - 13
Body - 12
Matter - 1

I know the DoT's that matter specialization has to offer are really decent .. but are they worth giving up the Body nukes or Mind charms ?

Looking for some advice, thanks for any help

I've never played an enchanter type, sorcerer or thuergist for camelot I guess, anywhere, ever.. BUT I'll throw in my 2cp anyway. lol, excited?

Here's what I noticed about Camelot: it doesn't really matter. Just look at your spells available, think about whether or not you want to do RvR and if so if you'll be going alone or with large parties, and then make your choice. And make your choice a STRONG choice, don't try to spread it all over.. and you should be fine. I have had 6 different cabalists all through level 10 (real high huh? haha), and they're all different. From specializations to equipment, even to race..and, they can all solo just fine. I'm sure that changes later on, but thats why I say pick and stick. I mean heck, if you have to while solo you can also do the endurance kite: Hit something from maximum spell range, send in your pet, hit sprint, run, cast, sprint & run, cast, repeat, etc. Sit for 10 seconds or whateve rand get 50% of yer endurance back.. lol.. hell a 12th level cabalist I have can melee blues with only 1 hit of a DD to pull, usually doing about 40 damage. Without the pet even summoned, let alone engaged.

Oh, and dispell another myth.. yes, scouts and infiltrators can make money and even solo, it's just harder and a bit different gaming.. but to me, loots and dungeons are only to make you stronger so when you invade another realm you'll be that much stronger, and they're there for NO other reason.

These af buffs don't seem to work

I cast my level 4 af buff on me. I didn't check my af before I cast it, but while its in effect my af is only 15 and not in the green. Since its not in the green that would indicate it is not buffed(and though I didn't check my af before I'm sure my af is not below 15 normally). So is this spell line just bugged right now or what?

Yes they do work .. you may have been bugged when you looked at your AF

my normal AF is around 60-70 and after i cast "Ward Offence" my AF is around 130

I'd say dexterity because now it does actually lower the time it takes to cast spells, and being a fast caster for some spells (especially mezmerize spells as a sorcerer) is very useful.

After putting in as many points as you deem necessary into intelligence, I would say you should put a few into strength, constitution, and mayhap dex if you have a few points left over. Strength and the others are pretty useful during the lower levels while you're waiting to get a pet.

Yir right... STR is maybe useful in the lower lvl but what is it useful for when u get higher lvl??? U can maybe carry a little more, but thats it...
