Paladins are a great class..we dont sing and we are better than bards,an out damage most tanks and our buffs keep your scrawny but alive and well to see thru the battle and on to the next.

im a 23 pally, and i have killed 2 yellows at once, losing only 1/4 life SOLO in keltoi. I have also taken a weak red... i almost died on that one.

Singing, schminging. Since when does CHANTING have anything to do with SINGING? Also, consider the fact that paladins can massively outdamage bards, and can outdamage a defensive armsman, too.

I was thinking chants ok. I can understand, as someone else posted, a paladin mummering encouragement, etc to the rest of the army as they are marching. BUT ummm a paladin playing a flute??? Ummm that does seem a bit strange. I'm hopeing that was just posted in the wrong place on this sight. If not this has got to be a bug, and I'll be if it isn't the funniest one I have seen. However, if it isn't a bug, or a miss-post all I gotta say is OMFG what Dumb@$$e$

He isnt singing. Paladins are that of a religious fighter that inspires his comrads with his religious devotion and affinity. His "chants" is basically his ability to inspire his group-mates.

There's a neat trick that i brung over from the bard in EQ for these chants. Since the refreshment spells work only once every 6.5 sec, i use it in conjunction with battle fervor. WHat i do is leave battle fervor on, then use refreshment and switch back to battle fervor instantly, wait until the cup disappears and then do it again. This way, ull get the advantage of either the def or off chant and healing at the same time. However, this wastes stamina at the same time, bu i fid it more effective than using my comabt abilities in groups.

The Refreshment Line of spells only works while you are in combat, so it is used to speed up regeneration while engaged with the enemy.
If you are grouped only one or some of your members need to be in combat, as then the group is considered to be in combat as a whole. So you can stand back and have Refreshment active, though your buddies are fighting the bad guy.

it's not said there so i say it, all the group buff work only one at once, u have to choose if u give AF, Dmg or healing to the group u can't give all.
I don't know how it work exactly for refreshment spell line, the icon don't show itself and sometime u see "xxxx gain x hit point" i wanna use it but since i'm never sure if it work or not i use AF song instead...

That looks like a Minstrel ability. Probably should be double-checked.

Oh, yes, Lesser Refreshment is now 6 per tick, while Minor Refreshment is only 3.

I suspect that a lot of the figures you see here were provided by people who'd been in beta. Since then, I'm sure there's been tweaking, so don't be shy about sending in corrections.

Those figures aren't accurate. Curious where they got them. Overall the table's numbers are a little lower for everything than they are in game.
For instance, Lesser Refreshment actually heals 6 hp per tic while Refreshment heals 10 etc. AF buff adds more than what they have listed here as well and I don't understand their add damage figures at all.

The healing chants appear to be off by a level.

The damage + is a factor which is hard to quantify.

At level 24, full chants, my Fervor is adding 20 Damage to a swing from my Scimitar for 15 damage.

My refresh chant heals for group for 21.
