This is what my SB looks like - and poison is really great - with poison you can single an orange Tank, if he's alone !!! First attack PA (2 weapons - snare + debuff poison) --> run and go back into stealth --> Second Attack 2H Dwarfen Greatsword with DoT Poison Lifebane :)) [after that attack the tank should have a hitpoints lost of at least 60%) --> go back to stealth, take another potion of DoT and finish him with a PA. This tactic works really fine :) when attacking casters, as usual PA+DoT poison and then run as hell --> if you survive, you see the casters hitpoints getting lower and finally you get RPs ;) Greets Sethor (EU Server Lyonesse - Midgard - Shadowblade)

Wild arcana is Nice. Just need to train it up more so it has a higher chance of kicking in. What i dont understand is what stat Acuity rasises for nightshades. On the herald Realm Skill page it says it is int., But i gained no int after training it twice. Also Does int effect our Dots the way it does for casters?
Let's say I have trained my envenom skill up to level 5 and can use lesser lethal poison. Then I get an item that is +3 envenom. Question: Can I now use the level 8 lesser imbalance poison? If not, what's the point in getting +envenom items?
Just wanted to let you know, you can poison weapons and put them in your inventory. I keep 2 extra weapons in my top 2 inventory slots and fight with the inv menu open. If you get an add, you just drop a fresh weapon in your right hand and whack. On high level mobs I can have 5 poisons resisted. }:0) I'm 26 Inf with 22 Envenom.
Hey guys I have a question please answer specifically I am maxing Envenom I wanna know how to use envenom how do u put it on ur sword like click on it put it on ur weapon equipped. Do u have to keep doing that after every poison attack or does it just keep going? how do u attack without using another poison if it keeps going?
Maxing ur envenom is silly. since u will get at least +10 bonus in envenom. So i'd say 40 max. maybe less. That'll release a lot of points to other skills too :)
How to use envenom, how do you put it on your sword?
To apply a poison, your weapon MUST be equipped, either in left, right or 2-hand slot. If you remove the weapon from it's slot the poison stays applied until you use that weapon or you give the weapon away. So you pick up your poison and then click on your weapon in it's weapon slot.
Do you have to keep doing that after every poison attack, or does it just keep going?
You have to re-apply the poison after every attack, ie., after every Mob. So if a Mob 'brings a friend' then only the mob that you first attack (if the poison is delivered on those hits) will be poisoned, and you will have to face the second without the aid of poison.
What you can do of course is apply the poison to the third weapon in the 2-hand slot (remember you can HOLD most melee weapons in the 2-hand slot you just can't use it from there), put that icon on your quickbar and when you go to attack the second Mob hit that button on your quickbar followed by an opening attack style and you'll have a poisoned weapon ready to go.
Maxing your Envenom is an answer for another session me thinks ;) but it's down to how you're gonna play, but personally I feel that you would be taking points away from more deserving skills :)
do we need to have the weapon equiped or can we poision one in the inv and change it fatrt the first one hits to get more poision types on the mob? IE. put a dot in dirk in hand and weakness on one in invtory
hit it then change to other one for second effect
or can we put it on each of 2 weapons and use duel attack?
also if we try to use a red / orng poision will it just fail to apply or will it apply and fail to work in the fight? if out skill is to low?
does it matter at all if out skill is item based or our base skill? like styles where we do not get the style from using items to raise a skill?
Why did you put 50 in envenom? You do know theres items that increases envenom and you dont need to train in them past 39 i would say Critical Strike is the most important skill to train #1 it raises your chances of getting a critical strike and ups perf and other critical strike styles - and your math is very bad btw .5 x 50 is 25 not 50 so if you have 50 specced in dual wield you would not have 50% you would have 25% Dual wield does alot more then .5% i know that because i see alot of mercs who fully spec in it and any of the 35+ mercs i see who use it dual wield all the time 80%
Nothing a stealther has is that important to max now that the spec points went from 2 - 2.5 its a big jump and you should get everything up to 39 and negotiate with items . I would say look at gamebanshee.com or here and look at all the stealth jewels , bracers , necklaces , rings , armor ect and work everything out its the best way to make a perfect rogue
That's a pretty good template for RvR, but you'll have a really hard time grouping and it's those templates that make it hard for NS to get a group.
Evenom + Crit in groups will get you very high on the aggro list, which makes you pretty much useless in groups unless you tone down damage.
Conclusion : Great for RvR, really bad for PvE
Another thing, specializing in Celtic dual is not all that great at all. Each points in Celtic dual gives you .5% more chance of attacking with your second weapon. So, 50 in celtic would only take you to 50% chance of hitting with your second weapon, so 50% more to damage.
Piercing on the other hand kept maxxed will give you a 80% damage bonus or more, if it hasn't changed from beta. Aside from the fact that you get a 80% bonus from piercing, you get a 25% bonus from your second weapon even with 1 point in Celtic Dual.
Also ever noticed that there's no untaunt style in CD ? So i'm guessing you'll waste a few points in Piercing to be able to untaunt ?
I'm not judging other ways of building NS, but don't be too hastily in drawing conclusions.
I can overdamage any tank my own lvl and often those 4-5 lvls above with a bard playing end song in group or not, and get the aggro around 2 thirds of the figth without using any poison, so it's not the backstab that's drawing aggro but raw damage.
I get tells every 2-3 days from other lvl 50s asking to trade their characters for my lvl 29 NS 1 for 1 and my NS is wearing mostly yellow and orange stuff.
The envenom template is really good for RvR, but i hope you like soloing or have good friends that'll agree to carry you around in groups, cause that's not a template that's really usefull in groups.
I sure can't solo most well equipped yellow armsmans, but i'm usefull to both PvP and especially in PvE.
Max Stealth rest in critical and piercing.
And don't underestimate the importance of stealth, if you appear before a purple mob, it means you can't backstab thus doing way less damage during that encounter.
Well if your a shade in a group and you are trying to tone down your damage i must say You may aswell give your spot to some other class What are you doing then? Pecking away at the mobs like an enchanters pet?. A shades place doesnt come with out risk . High dmg output is our place in groups along with scouting. Atleast that is how i see it. And how a shade chooses to accomplish this is there decision. If you have a good group and you know how to play your shade you can CS , Poison all you want and not get even scratched. If your soloing something orange you can PA it snare it and poison it run re stealth and PA it again. If its rvr youlve got skills to adapt to your surrounding. When it come down to it tho either you got friends you can group with, Or some people may actualy see the benefit of haveing a shade in there group, or you gonna be soloing, And that is just a shades life.
shaddap.. u dont try perfing a frigging grape mob.. remember that there is a healer that might like to save some power by healing the fellas in chain. (shift+i) on ur attack icon to make sure that ur not useing a taunt style, then give em hell.. if u get agro then u have ****** tanks who need to use a taunt style.
I had an infil...high envenom skill is also effective with PvE, but you have to use a lot of money on poison...in groups you might as well forget about critical strike... My infil had mostly dual wield. That was cool cus i could easily outdamage higherlevel tanks... My envenom skill was only a minor factor cus i mostly used grey poison...but it was effective! The infiltrator is, I think, the coolest class in Albion, but also the hardest...im not sure why, but I think we may have less hp than tanks and we dont have any real armor :/.
Has anyone yet to have this level of poison? If so could you tell about how much damage it does? Considering to take my poison that high but dont want to if it isnt worth dropping all those pts into.
If you go to the poison vendor and right clk on the different poisons, then hit shift-I, all the information on the poisons are there.
I can't say if it's worth it or not because I'm not there, but I believe that lifebane does about 50 damage per clk over 20 seconds which to me seem a little low for being lvl 50 envenom. Especially when I consider that I have been hit by a (midguard) casters poison in RvR that did over 100 per clk to my mage at lvl 37.
However; if there is some model for doing higher damage for maximum skill similar to mages who can do 3X damage and critical hit, then 50 damage per click can turn into 150 damage per click. But from using poison on greys I haven't seen this effect.
hah.....your information is way wrong....i have lesser lethal poison right now (lvl 30 evenom) and im doing 50-55 damage a tick....i talked to a lvl 50 infiltrator with lvl 50 evenom and he said maxing evenom is totally worth it...he said can do one perfect artery with poison on his daggers....and then walk away and he can kill a yellow armsman....he said if he could start all over he would pick a nightshade....and his specs would be..
stealth - 40 evenom - 50 critical strike - 39
and what ever points left over in CD....he said he has found out that pierce/blade/thrust etc. doesnt affect the damage u do with your critical strikes....and when u get through with your cs styles you are almost out of endurance anyway...so pierce is almost pointless to put points into...unless u arent going to put any points into cs (which would be retarted)...and evenom is also great for soloing....so which ever way u look at it...RvRing....soloing....you are gonna have a great nightshade...reason he said only bring stealth to 40 is because u can get items to help bring up your stealth....
I imagine the DoT's and Debuffs dont stack with themselves so would that make it pointless to have both blades poisoned as you would just be reapplying the same poison
But if you use a diff poison on each will they stack?
It would seem though that If you had a poison on one blade and a debuff on the other that they would stack.
And how long does the poison last on the blades?
Also Anyone know the numbers on how much damage / debuf these do.
Or anyone know where theres some online info a poisoning site?
The same type of poisons don't stack, but you can do different types of poisons/debuffs and they will stack (like str debuff & DoT)
Also, your poisons do stack with druid poisons.
I'm not sure how long the debuffs last, my guess is about 2min, but the poisons last 5 clicks. The damage per click depends on what type of poison it is. A lvl 1 poison does about 3-6 damage per click. A lvl 5 poison does about 7-13 damage per click.
Don't forget that staffs can be poisoned also. You can use the staff for your snare poison to break out when the battle looks bad so you can get away. What I do is poison my blade and a staff, then after the 5 clicks I switch to the other weapon for extra poison. It's a good way to maximize your poison damage.
