Could anyone tell me whereabouts in the zone I am most likely to find the Forest Hunters, Runners, et al? I'd like to hunt the area, but as a sorcerer, I need a steady supply of pets. I have been unable to find any concentration of these guys, just the odd one here and there.

I dont remember the direction(n e s w)but I thinkI can explain it to you... You are standing on the forest side of castle sauvage looking down the road into the forest. Turn right 90deg and proceed along the border. Go past the giant wolves and night stalkers.. and then keep going past the Forest giants... you will then enter an area that is nothing but hunters, stalkers, and ebony fellwoods just as far as the eye can see.. and then some.

You can warp to another realm prior to 15, but why would you? You might get a few RP from other people in your group killing things, but it's basically a waste of your time. Spend that time leveling up and then head out into the frontiers.

Just a suggestion.
Sadly..

Unfortunately, a majority of the servers are too high of a level for anyone below level 30 to survive long in the frontiers aynmore. You can go whenever you feel like it but you'll likely die pretty quickly.

As for HOW to get there. Buy a necklace and put it on. Most people don't know to put it on unless they ask the guy who sells them for instructions.

I went into the pad at level 13, had a ticket thing to hibernia, when the mages came and casted their spell everyone poofed except me.. What am I doing wrong? I've wandered around the forest for a while but couldn't get into the enemy frontier.

Snagles and anon, both of you need to read up a little and experience it before you spout garbage like that.

15 is the 'recommended' level. You can go to your own frontier AND the enemy frontier at any level you want.

I took my level 11 Friar to the Midgard frontier. I got owned, but I did go :)
Hmm

Now that I know the lvl range, I'll be making every effort possible to find an easy route there from Hibernia, bwahahh. Someone has to pioneer the RvR to Albion! I know, people have been there, but there's got to be an easier route there.

I've never seen much PvP action. Its a large rolling forest. Imagine a hilly clear land then add alot of grass and a ton of trees. Its easy to get lost so follow the road and keep a clear heading. While there are defenitely great hunting spots, I've never really seen many enemy realms get this far into our frontier. Castle Excalibur holding the Excalibur Relic isn't far from the entrance near Camelot - As ironic as it may sound, that scabbard is very close to Camelot thus not being the easiest place to attack.

For those new to DAoC this is not to suggest the enemy could get to camelot, but the entrance into the frontier is only a few steps away from the Cots side. Follow the road and you'll bump into Castle Excalibur.

The area is full of junk, 90% of which will attack you on sight. Theres things ranging from level 11 (young foresters of sorts, nuetral) to fairly large nasties. On my experience this is the easiest hunting of all the Frontiers and I've never seen a super-beast in this area [Super-beast such as the nortic frost giants which are about 50 times taller than your character in the deep Midgard Frontier, etc. No big creatures to bwap you for 1000 damage, I traveled this frontier with utter ease at level 11 avoiding most hostiles]. Saw some great camps I'll defenitely check out - unfortunately I'm clueless on the loot.

If anyone has any idea what level each specific monster type is and the kind of loot that drops here, feel free to add.

I travelled to Midgard at lvl 5. You don't have to be a certain level. I've ported over with lvl 10's as well. 15 is simply the recommended level. there is no restrictions.

Check the bestiary link for the levels of all the creatures in the zone.

Forest sauvage is the lowest level of the albion frontier zones, and the only one in which it's actually fairly safe for an enemy realm to traverse. The problem isn't getting through this zone, it's getting TO this zone. Penninne Mountains and Hadrians Wall are formidable places. (and the Ellyon which guard the border with Sauvage are NOT nice)

Forresters Armour Drops here. Good level 20 to 30 Studded Armour. (Scouts) The forest giants drop the armour, as well as some nice weapons and the "Uber" Bow of levels 20 to 30. Natures Blessing.

The Trees drop nothing of real note, though they're rich. At level 25 you can solo most of the trees, getting 16sp per kill.

As soon as they can, most people leave this place and head to Snowdownia with the 30+ chain drops, the 35+ plate drops and the 35+ studded again. (Teg!)

Hope that gives ya the info ya need.
