I'm spending some time going through the Achievements on almost all of the expansions and am noticing some out-of-date loot tables on quite a few mobs (missing later tradeskill items etc.).
Questions are: how is the best way to update this - if at all?
1. Do you need / want someone to work through this?
2. If so, should I be using the Item Collector - will that pull out all of the missing loot?
3. If not item collector - should I just be updating the relevant mob with a text post - or is there a way to link items in the loot table?

I'm nobody official, but here's my guesses:
1 - I know they pay attention to this, because I've made a few posts recently about new loot found on mobs, and they have updated the loot list (comments on the NPC pages, and/or the loot pages)
2 - That would do it. Not sure if the item collector is working ATM, thought I saw some recent posts about people not getting it to work
3 - Yes, posts will do. The mods see all new posts and generate the links, users don't have a way to do this
Just one more comment. If the loot you mean are generic items which can be dropped by almost any mob in a level range, I don't know if they bother linking all of that. That would be scores, if not hundreds, of items which would be linked to a LOT of mobs.

You can comment on the mobs themselves on which loot they are missing and we can add the loot if the item exists in our item tables.
If the item doesn't exist in our item tables, we won't be able to add it for the time being since our item collector is out of order.

Many thanks for both responses.
I'm writing a script that will parse the loot from the mobs that I'm hunting and then I'll do a compare against what I see on the mob page and add the ones that are missing. I didn't want to just add lines of loot if it was the wrong thing to do.
The main thing I'm seeing is that many of the older mobs that haven't been updated since 2006 etc. don't seem to have all of the trade skill drops.

Yes, I was including those items, but now you mention it, I won't be adding the trade skill items as they're are plenty of those.
