Merle the Old quest.Follow

Ok...I have a quest titled 'Merle the Old'. According to the internet this quest doesn't even exist.

I have to answer a series of questions Merle the Old asks and the first one is "What is the the name of the great big body of water to the east?". It's in Silvermine Mountains.

Please help me, as I can find zero information on either this quest or the name of the body of water i'm supposed to know since its not on the in-game map or any other one i can find.

Is this a new quest or whats going on here? Why can't i find a single shred of evidence that this quest exists for anyone but me?!

It's exactly my problem... can't find the answers too. the big body of water... lake, shannon, river? - these answers fail. maybe this quest is buggy?

15.10.2012: found it! the answer to merles first question is "Lough derg"!!! the answers for his second and third question you find easily on your map - if not, leave a message here ;-). Anyway, greetings from Berlin/Germany!

Late response, but for anyone new to the game or doing this quest in 2016+...

I had trouble finding any info on this as well (the first question), so I just guessed some answers and here's what they are:

-Lough Derg
-Druim Ligen
-Cuuldurach
