Ever since they increased the tome cap to a weekly 900... i havent felt like getting on the game.

It might be weird, but i feel that if i cant cap out my points each week, i dont even wanna bother with trying it. It just depresses me having an unreachable goal. I cant be the only one?

Not saying they should change it, i'll get over it. But this is anoying to me right now. Anyone else feel the same?

That's interesting. The raising of the cap (equating in your case to an effective removal) reduces your enthusiasm for playing the game.

I can't play the game right now because of my internet situation but I actually do remember feeling something similar happen to me back in 2.55 when the poetics cap was raised to 900. I still played the game but I no longer felt an obligation to (for instance) do an expert roulette every day to cap tomestones for the week. I'd get tomestones, most weeks I wouldn't cap them. But yeah it did change the way I played the game.

They rose the cap because the gear is basically worthless now. Other than collection purposes, Stormblood is what? 2-3 months away? If Stormblood follows the same template, the gear will be useful for the first dungeon, be similar to what is in the 2nd dungeon, and will begin replacement by the third.

So don't burn yourself out. I would change perspective, and say "hey I want to complete this armor set" and go with that mindset. If I remember, they never allowed 2.x currency to rollover to 3.x. They just used it for old gear. Likely scenario is poetics will merge with Heavensward currency to reduce UI clutter.
