Are you guys on US or EU? I wants to be in the Zam guild if it's a US guild. I don't mind about name, although I really like Something Something Darkside and Extra Knee Armor. (I can't create another guild myself, I own one already.) If anyone does it be sure to invite me, I am @teacake. Or just send me friend requests anyway because... I don't know. Cookies? Sometimes I seem to get friend requests from gold farmers so if your account name isn't obvious attach a note so I know who you are. Smiley: grin

I have not done it yet because I ended up doing RL stuff yesterday and was waiting for input on a name. Sounds like EKA and SSD are getting the most votes. I'll try and create one in a little bit when I am on. I'm US server.

I like Something Something Darkside and Extra Knee Armor (favoring Extra Knee Armor since it's ES-related). Which faction would the guild be in? AD, DC, or EP? Whichever is fine with me since I have characters in each faction. Smiley: cool

My DK is EB and my NB is AD but I was thinking of making it on my DK since I am playing her more now. You can join no matter the faction though from understanding.

I just read this on the Elder Scrolls Wiki:

Quote:
Guilds are organisations of players working collectively in The Elder Scrolls Online who usually have similar interests and goals. When a guild takes control of a keep or one of its resources, the guild's store and bank are able to be used there via the keep's quartermaster.

Players can join a maximum of 5 guilds per account.

If an account makes a character from a different faction they can still chat in the guild and group up with players from the same faction as their character, but players will not receive the bonuses for any keeps or resources held if they are from a different faction than the guild's starting faction.

This is an interesting idea and I think it's great for cross-faction communication. I'm wondering, as a small guild, how this works for guild members grouping up for quests/dungeon runs, etc. if we're spread across all three factions? If I'm understanding the quote above, there can be no cross-faction grouping? Assuming, of course, guildies want to group together for quests, dungeon runs, etc...

I've heard you can do other factions dungeons by getting an invite there, have not actually tried it. Also it said account not foudn when I tried to add @Snorre_Tankard. I also sent an invite to @teacake I'm not sure if it will just stay there until you log in or what. Let me know if you need a resend.

(I'm in a weird zone for Sheogaorath called circus of slaughter so that might also afffect my invite ability *shrug not sure will try when back on tera firma)

You can only form parties with people of the same alliance. So if I want to actually group with you guys, I'm going to need an Ebonheart character. My WoW guild went EHP too, such a shame. Smiley: disappointed

If anyone has Daggerfall characters, I've got a Daggerfall guild with something like 3 people in it (and gotta keep inching toward that guild bank Smiley: grin), so send me an in-game mail (@teacake) if you want an invite.

Even though I appreciate the cross-faction guild communication, wouldn't it make sense to have as many members in the same faction for the guild perks and grouping for questing, dungeons, dark anchor encounters, etc?

I'm cool with being in 3 guilds (1 per faction) if that's what we end up doing, though. I'll have my DC character request a guild invite. Is there interest in wanting to create an AD guild, too?

EP does get nicer after the first zone. You like swamps right? AD has the most epic zones so far but I have not gotten too far into Dagerfell yet.

You're on my friends list, Snorre - I'll send you an invite to my Daggerfall guild. Not a Zam guild but there aren't very many of us in it either. I think right now the membership is at 3. Smiley: grin Anyone who wants a DC guild is welcome to join us.

I can't really bring myself to play anything but Daggerfall. I'm very loyal to my king. (NSFW)

It is awesome! And you should play! I mean, unless you don't want to. I don't want to be one of those evangelizing fangirls or anything. But you know, if you don't like ESO, you smell.

I did a quick search, it seems there is no official controller support for the PC version, and people who like to play with controllers are doing it with something called Xpadder. (I know nothing about this as I don't use console stuffs.) The console release itself is ~6 months away. They've got a thing where if you're a console person and want to play now, and buy the PC version before the end of June, you can then get the console version for $20 and transfer your PC characters over when it comes out. AFAIK though they'll still be completely separate, so you won't be able to play with any guilds/friends/etc. anymore if you make the move.

In other news, Demea says I should try a sorcerer, so I'll probably make one tonight to tinker with over the weekend. Haven't played one since beta, maybe it'll grab me more. I also still love my nightblade - sneaky witch FTW.

Don't do it. None of us actually play, we're doing this to try and trick digg into buying the game . . . Smiley: sly

I haven't been able to log in for quite a few days. I need to find an alternative to work. I'm sure by now my Khajiit, like most cats, has totally dominated my barracks of alts and is planning a way to turn them all against each other.

Clannfear + Crystal Shard + Mages' Fury + Resto Staff = INBA

It seems to be much easier to level since you have the pet, a heal or two, and a metric ******** of damage output. Drop all of your character points into Mana, pick up a few Light Armor perks, and you're basically and endless well of awesomeness.

Meh. I got bored with the sorcerer within half an hour and deleted it. Their skill lines, while objectively perfectly good, just don't interest me at all. OTOH now that I've become obsessed with resto-staff-as-only-weapon instead of the bow, I am having fun with a DK again. Fire! Both fire and being sneaky are fun, so not sure whether I'll end up preferring NB or DK in the end. All this fooling around is all well and good until one or all of my characters hit 50, but from what I hear of the grind to VR10, I'm not sure I'll take more than one character all the way to the top.

I am not trying to trick Dig. Nuh-uh. Nope.

Weekend update:

Got my DK to 36 and my provisioning to 47. DK is now one level higher than my NB making her officially my new main. I got into an excellent quest line with the Nord King that is making me appreciate EB lore. Also Eastmarch being a snowy Skyrim zone is a real nice change of pace after so much shadowfen argonian swamp land.

My DK build is still working great. I can't take total credit though the way I am built is based on video's I saw of DK's doing OP things like soloing Fungal Grotto group dungeon in VR3 and another one that soloed one at VR10. I should have time this week to post up a short guide (for Demea) as I have some time off from work this week.

I finally took the plunge and joined a giant social/trade guild. It has 480+ members with usually 50-75 active on so far this weekend. I bought a chest piece at the guild store and sold some duplicate set shoulders. I'm scouting it out right now for personality but seems like a good group so far. People will help each other and are forming dungeon groups as well as trading in chat with each other at guild discounts.

If it turns out solid I will get invites for any of the ZAM guild who might be interested.

I think the big guild sounds cool. I'm going to need one for an auction house at some point. Smiley: nod

At level 37 my nightblade has emerged as the clear winner for me. I've had fun with some of the other classes, but NB has been the only one that can be every single thing I like to be, and do any of it pretty well. I don't die really unless I'm stupid, and the swish-swish-stabby noises are awesome, so. There are also some abilities that should make her a fun healer despite not being the cookie cutter templar.

Only problem is it's hard to change it up from Shadowy Disguise/Concealed Weapon spam, because it's so efficient and easy. Smiley: lol I had to go to ESO Head and make sure I'll have enough points for all my crafting plus at least a few skills in 3 different weapons (the three I can make with woodworking), because I already see having the same 5/10 abilities all the time getting boring. I use mostly class skills but each weapon varies the style some even if I've only got one of its skills slotted.

Level 39 and pretty sure I'll be stuck in low 40's for a while, as my whole life becomes about making enough gold to respec, then making enough gold for another respec, rinse, repeat. Smiley: lol I'm in my experimental stage. This is a good time for it though - I'm high enough in a lot of skill lines to be able to grab some of the good stuff.

Sure, I could just wait until high veteran ranks when I've got more points than I know what to do with and I can just try everything at once without having to respec to do it, but what fun is that? I want to play around NOW.
