Ohh, I have no spine at all. I went ahead and made a Nord. Got to about level 7 before I realized that being a badass viking wasn't as much fun as being a badass greenskin. Can't do WAAAGH!! screams when running dungeons as a Nord. And the Nord accents are pissing me off. They're not Scandinavian, they're German. Sounds nothing like badass vikings! Smiley: mad

Anyway, I'll settle for being a hulking Orc with a staff and a fancy dress. Which reminds me, I should craft a jerkin.

The Nord accents here and in Skyrim always reminded me of an American doing a bad Schwarzenegger impression.

Real Nord accent.

I might try this once it goes free to play... but probably not because I am already addicted to an MMO.

I'm going to be all over this game once it goes f2p, but for the moment I can't afford a second MMO subscription, and WoW is staying.

But when this goes f2p, I'm going to be basking in all that sweet, sweet lore.

I seem to see that a lot: "I will play this game when it goes F2P." Not if, but when. Like it's a foregone conclusion. Makes you wonder why anyone bothers to launch with a sub model anymore. But I guess they might as well grab the cash while they can.

I, OTOH, may consider leaving when it goes F2P, but I'll keep an open mind and see how it goes. Although GW2 does well with that model, in general F2P games can attract a certain crowd that isn't my favorite. You know, riff-raff like Fish. Smiley: wink

Actually what I mean by "a certain crowd" is: "fifteen-year-old kids whose parents won't pay sub fees." Sorry for the generalization, but you know. GET OFF MY LAWN!

Edit: I won't carry more than one sub either. It'll be interesting to see how torn I am when WoD comes out, because I doubt ESO goes F2P before a year.

I definitely understand that sentiment, and is one of the reasons I'm glad WoW is still behind a subscription. You're right, the community in ESO is going to go down in flames if it goes f2p (and I think it will at some point). I don't care about that as much myself, since I'm going to be playing it almost like a single player game myself and go full hermit mode.

Because I mean, ew, people.

Agreed. You can join my guild of people who hate people. We are up to, I think, eight members now!

And funny you should mention WoW being behind a sub still, because there are plenty of rotten lawn-trespassing kids playing that. (And when my family is subbed to WoW my daughter plays with us, so I'm contributing to that problem. But she's not allowed to group with anyone but us or see the chat channels, so she's never pissed any of you off.) So maybe the connection isn't as clear cut as I made it out to be.

If ESO were run by SE, it's remain P2P no matter what, because it can.

I saw one of the Zam guys in FFXIV playing. Or someone playing his account. He didn't respond to me when I talked on the linkshell, but shortly after that someone from his FC invited me.

Did I mention I'm a werewolf? I only ask because I am a werewolf.

So, yeah, I'm a werewolf.

Eh, it takes up your ultimate spot, and it takes FOREVER to build it up to change into a werewolf. Also, you start at level zero, and can only add abilities once you level up, which you can only do when you are a werewolf, which, as I mentioned earlier, takes FOREVER to change into, and you have a limited time in that form.

Still...I am a werewolf!

Hm. That doesn't sound very fun. Think I'll stick to being a werewolf in WoW and a sneaky little elf in ESO.

Dammit, ESO has ruined my other MMO games for me. I can't get used to not having my camera linked to my mouse movement by default in other games. Once you've tried the crosshair thing, you realize just how bad Tab-targeting is.

I think I'd have a hard time with other MMO controls now too. I also feel like ESO ruined WoW for me just because of the graphics. I look at WoW now and it's hard to even believe in it.

I haven't been playing at all though. First I went out of town and now I'm swamped with work. I miss my Breton. Smiley: frown Maybe I can eke out some time this weekend.

I was wondering what happened to everyone.

I am the only Zamite I know on the game now.

That's typically how the Zam guild goes.

Nah, I'm still an active player and have no intention of quitting any time soon. I'm just busy at the moment, but I'm pretty lazy by nature, so that can only be sustained for so long.

I've been away for a bit, and I'm going away some more soon, and I've not been in the mood for ESO lately. After overcoming the control issues, I'm now revisiting some of the other games, but I'll swing by ESO soon.

I remember saying something similar when Kingdoms of Amalur came out. Then Skyrim hit, and I still haven't been back.

ESO still interests me with the shiny graphics, the action-RPG style combat, and the open feel, but I've tried healing and pewpew, and because I chose the wrong class, apparently, I can't successfully tank until level 30+, which kind of sucks the enjoyment out of it.

Nightblade is right up my alley with the Blood Mage feel (although I'm rolling SnB Death Knight style right now), but I wish tanking wasn't so CC-oriented. It reminds me a little too much of Blizzard's short, but frustrating, "bring the CC, not the DPS" period in Cataclysm.

That's typically how the Zam guild goes.

Some years ago, I placed a curse on all Zam guilds.
