Maybe you missed the part where the system was coming out next month? It would be shocking if this was a holding name.
But in general terms, I don't think I've ever seen a console reveal with a holding name. I've seen devs speaking in general terms using code/project names for the device, but I've never seen a company actually come out and announce the system with anything other than the final name.
Once you have the reveal event, that name is pretty firmly in place. Hell, I don't think I've ever actually seen companies release press releases using project names. These are usually just the internal name for the project that leaks to the rumor mill, because companies are increasingly unwilling to say anything about a product until the reveal event, specifically to give them more control over the hype meter.
