Maybe you missed the part where the system was coming out next month? It would be shocking if this was a holding name.
But in general terms, I don't think I've ever seen a console reveal with a holding name. I've seen devs speaking in general terms using code/project names for the device, but I've never seen a company actually come out and announce the system with anything other than the final name.
Once you have the reveal event, that name is pretty firmly in place. Hell, I don't think I've ever actually seen companies release press releases using project names. These are usually just the internal name for the project that leaks to the rumor mill, because companies are increasingly unwilling to say anything about a product until the reveal event, specifically to give them more control over the hype meter.

I say think because I can only see 2 of then...the 3rd I think is in it's box.
So hopefully I can use the 1st gen one as a trade in. The other 2 will be mine forever (Zelda themed ones).
Nintendo and their stupid decisions. If it wasn't for Mario Kart and Zelda games, I would have done bounced years ago.

This is why I bought a wii u. Everything else I was interested in for the most part is released on PC.
