It's not your traditional Zelda game at all. It picks up where Ocarina of Time left off, but then does a triple backflip off the edge and dives straight into Weirdsville. It's simultaneously sad, horrifying, and beautiful all at once. It's one of the few games I will gush over for hours and hours.

so yeah, you should try it.

It's way darker than you realize as a kid. Some messed up stuff... but it remains one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm not 100% sure it is official..but NA/American Nintendo can go ***** itself. EU is getting a collectors edition, and apparently NA/America is not.

Not the first time it's happened with Nintendo and Zelda. Didn't Hyrule Warriors get a special edition that the US only got a couple hundred of and only sold in person in New York?

Don't bother unless you have an EU system. Remember Nintendo still region-locks all their stuff.

This was one of the Zelda games I did not like. The dungeons themselves were solid but everything in between was really annoying IMO. The game was also buggy. I had the game on Cartridge and it would randomly lock up and even when they stuck it on gamecube it still randomly locked up.

In any case allready own two copies of this game I don't need a third.

If you also didn't know, the CE is sold out. And the new Majora's Mask version of the new 3DS is also sold out (via gamestop).

Is this the new wave for CE? Only a limited supply?

For Nintendo. I've never had an issue getting CE's and LE's for Tales of games and Square Enix things.

Special Edition MM 3DS system is currently available on Nintendo UK Store. Costs £210 or $317.

Edit: A link would help. http://store.nintendo.co.uk/new-nintendo-3ds-xl-console/new-nintendo-3ds-xl-majoras-mask-3d-edition/11070029.html

Does Nintendo treat UK and US as different regions for region lock?

Yeah, which sucks. But you should be able to create an UK eShop account using a fast food chain address over there, and add funds with prepaid eShop cards.

Nintendo's US store front put an email out today that says "Coming Soon" for the MM edition preorder. Not sure if that is the default Not Available or if they will open preorders on the U.S. site as well.

I can't be bothered getting a non US region console cause I have plenty of hard copy US games. Nintendo needs to ditch the region locking already.

I'd be cool if Nintendo did a big "F U" to the resellers and has a large stash just waiting to hit their store...
http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/buynow/#/new-3ds-xl-black

But I doubt it. Nintendo has really sucked this past year stocking their items...

Sucks that the LE ones are already sold out. I have set a limit for myself - I am not buying a "new 3DS" (god I hate that name) unless it's a purdy one. I regret my boring *** red XL so much (love the system, hate that I didn't get the Zelda one)... so I am SO holding out until I get get a nice one.

I think Nintendo having a tough time accurately predicting their sales. I mean look at the amiibos. First wave hits and everything fine but sales are no wear near where they should be. They announce they are going to discontinue **** and even though they didn't say it probably reduce production on future items to save them from to much shrink due to items not selling and BAM everyone wants them now because they said they are limited the supply.

Majora's Mask was INSANELY unpopular when it was released and a **** ton of people made that known. Between needing that graphics expansion and the time mechanics really turned a lot of people off. Combined with it's extremely different presentation. Large dungeons but only 4 of them that were traditional dungeons. A good bulk of the game had the trek to the dungeon have enough content to be a dungeon on their own. A concept not really re-explored in the series until skyward sword so it was an odd concept to players. Many saw this as fluff that prevented them from getting into the Meat of the game, when in my opinion this was apart of that meat.

So what do players expect when this company goes to give the game a face lift and re-release it knowing there was a niche audience for it, so they release a limited amount of specialty editions. And now suddenly it's in full demand? If you told me even last year that A nintendo was even considering re-releasing this game and B there's going to be a high demand for it. I would of laughed and said you were dreaming.

So long as they make more available I wouldn't mind. The only thing I feel nintendo really said ***** you to the consumers was on that Collector Edition Hyrule warriors that was available almost everywhere but the US. Then when people said hey we actually want that... They said ok we will make it available... ONLY IN NYC! Bad call nintendo bad call.
