The beta test for Monster Hunter: World will kick off this Saturday, Dec. 9 at 9 a.m. PT, Capcom confirmed today. The beta will end on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 8:59 a.m. PT. PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to take part in the weekend-long beta.

The beta will be available for download starting Dec. 8. Expect to allot 5.9 GB of free space on your hard drive.

On the Capcom Unity blog, the publisher detailed what players can expect from the Monster Hunter: World beta in terms of content:

The beta features 3 quests across 2 environments from the game. In the Ancient Forest, you can hunt a fierce yet beginner-friendly Great Jagras or as a more experienced player confront the mighty threat of an Anjanath. In the Wildspire Waste, a massive, dry expanse with swamplands, you can face off against the intermediate level mud-slinging Barroth.
Those quests can be played solo or with up to three other players. The beta will include 14 different weapon types and access to the series new training room. Capcom said that players who complete quests in the beta will be rewarded with some “useful bonus items” in the full game. More details on the beta are at the game’s website.

Monster Hunter: World hits PS4 and Xbox One on Jan. 26. A PC version is due later in 2018.
