Yup, I'm almost positive Sugar (the unspayed kitten) is pregnant. I've been gone for two days for my grandmother's Celebration of Life, and I just felt her tummy and it's noticeably bigger. We probably have a month or so until she has the kittens, but I went ahead and prepared a nesting box for her anyways. Her mom was a tuxedo and we think her baby daddy is the tuxedo stray that roams the neighborhood, so there's a good chance they will all be tuxedo kitties. Which is really funny, because our other two cats are tuxedo kitties. Good thing we like that particular marking scheme.

I had to have a tooth pulled yesterday. My dentist decided to put a stitch in the gum even though "it's not really bleeding much." I handled the entire procedure without a problem. Right up until the part where he was tying off the stitch. For some reason the feeling of the string against my lip just gave me the willies. Big time.
He thought it was funny. In the sense that I had no problem with any other part of the process, or even about having the stitch put in. Just the feel of the string against my lip.
I definitely know what Horse's fish felt like. I wonder if fish get the willies, or if they call it something else.

I figure fishing to a fish is a lot like a near death experience. "There I was, minding my own business trying to get something to eat, when suddenly I was being pulled to this great light. When I got to the light, I couldn't breath but I could see all my loved ones and friends all around. Then I met this giant who told me 'It wasn't my time' and returned me to my home where I woke up with a scar."

either that or they get stabbed in the head but ya otherwise seems accurate.

i was planning on not working today as i took the day off
ended up going to one meeting for a bout an hour, have another one coming up. have to rebuild the test server and possibly write up some scripts for someone else.
day off turned into work from home. which means i only work for half the day and dont have to wear pants.

It's pretty good, actually. The stress of starting a new place has settled, so now it's just dealing with a bunch of spoiled brats who like to harass the new guy.

Cut a desk in half with an axe. That'll quiet them. Also works with shotguns using beanbag rounds.
