Crafting a CartoonFollow

I've had a lot of time off work lately, and I've been itching to animate.

I've done a lot of random animations in the past using MX Flash, but nothing worthy of presentation. What I lack the most is ideas. I can create all kinds of random animated people and objects, but I know not what to do with them.

I also need voice actors...

I kind of think it might be fun for everyone to work together and have their own roles in creating a cartoon, just for fun. Through experience, our skills would improve and over time the overall quality would get better.

What do you think of this idea? Would anyone be interested in such a project?

animation is for otherwise infeasible pornography, whether it be because of moral or physical limitations.

Well let's see here. As far as certain roles are concerned, we have:

Animators: Kuwoobie
Story board artists: ?
Voice Actors: Kuwoobie
Story Writers: ?

I guess anyone who is interested could say what they want to do specifically if not all of the above.

This would be a good time to inquire if all the Dingarts I made belong to ZAM.com or to me or are considered public domain.

Because, y'know, we could do some truly memorable (and horrible) things animating them.

ETA:

Animators: Kuwoobie
Story board artists: Bijou
Voice Actors: Kuwoobie
Story Writers: ?Kirby? ?Ari? Depends on what kind of stories you want to do I guess.

If Bijou is head artist I can see this taking on more of a Yellow Submarine sorta feel.

There is an Olde Person joke in here. I just can't seem to find it at the moment.

As an aside; the last new (to me, anyway) comic I read was Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and I ******* love it.

I'm intrigued, because I've always been interested in animation and shorts. I lack drawing skills, but I may be able to contribute to writing, voice acting, and possible sound effects.

If you're looking for help with story boards I know Sweetums is rather proficient, so you might hit her up. Catt is also working on his artistic prowess.

I would totally do a Bijou-esque pop art nightmare.

You'd have to work around the fact that I'm very lazy.

Looks good so far.

What we need to start with is what we want to animate exactly.

Maybe someone can come up with an idea then another person can sketch out a storyboard to give me an idea of what I should be bringing to life with the wonders of animation.

Honestly, I am normally good with ideas, but poor on the artistic skills side.

I'd love to help, but at the same time I'm reluctant to volunteer my help and wind up either flaking out or missing a deadline.

I suppose I could toss out some suggestions here and you can use them as you see fit. Give me some time to think on it. The only one I can think of right now (sans caffeine and while within the prison I call work) involves FFXI and would be 3-D and all that kinda stuff.

Edit:

Relevant link is relevant.

How about this for a story:

There's this guy, right, and he's looking for this thing. Still with me? OK, so he meets these two guys at some place and they head somewhere to see if the thing is there. There are lots of things at someplace, but none of them are the thing the guy is looking for. However, the thing that another guy in the group ids looking for is there, but some other guys steal it, so the guys run after the guys to get it back. They are unsuccessful, but just as they are despairing they find the thing they were looking for in the first place. That thing is a cobalt salted nuclear warhead, and they use it to destroy humanity.

The end.

I just want to step in here and say you're embarking on a painful, masochistic journey into a world of hurt the likes of which you've not yet experienced.

Good luck!
