Is actually pretty nice now that they got the servers figger'd out.
I think the only thing I miss about WoW at this point is flying mounts, Stealth, and Cheap Shot.
What servar is everyone on? Toon names?

Everyone is on Ultros.
Check the general games FFXV thread for everyone in the TINFS linkshell (anyone can invite you). The General forum has their own guild... but you might want to avoid that.

I didn't get the memo about Ultros
There's a thread in =22 about FFXV that quickly turned into an FFXIV thread. In it, we discussed servers, and Ultros is the non-Legacy server that a XIV General was going to, and a bunch of other people from ZAM.
My free time ran out and I don't know that I'm going to sub right now. I've got GTA5 and Halo 4 taking up time, and Beyond: Two Souls and Pokemon come out super soon. I imagine I'll be back in a month or so. I might level up a DPS class, and look to get into a raiding FC. I love tanking, but with the hours I've been working, I'd prefer the less-intense position of DPS. While you do have to pay attention and work hard on a DPS, it's a different kind of stress than how I feel when tanking.

Titan is a JP server, and I'm cool with it, but it seems peeps in FC are having a hard time for "end game" events due to their not being enough at 50 in the FC and communication issues (and time difference).
If servers are not like they use to be at launch on the NA/EU servers, might be a good idea to transfer during the free period...just don't want to land on a packed realm and not be able to log in :3

It's high pop, but the biggest queue I saw after launch madness was 14.

Why exactly did SE decide to go with splitting servers? I thought that was differentiating aspect of the FF universe.

I am Ultros as well, our ZAM FC is up to I think 87K members.I have no idea who anybody is and vice versa

While being possibly addictive, I haven't gotten involved in any time sinks (not saying they are not prevalent). This game is definitely more solo-friendly. In any case, I know how people are, they are all there to help when everyone needs it, but later, you're off fending for yourself. So, my plan is to do stuff now, then slow down and play other games later.

I'm thinking of joining Sora, Daimakaicho, and the other cool people from their old XI LS. A reasonably sized group of friendly people instead of the hundreds of strangers in the ZAM FC.
