Reporting them isn't very satisfying, I'd much rather have the option of obliterating them.

And here's some Smiley: spam for you.

I think during the last tally it was Poldy, then me. However if you want that for your title, go for it!

You could just have an app that twice a day automatically sends a mail from your zambox to the the Zamins reporting spammers in various forum.

I never knew that catching all them spammers spamming was dependent on tips from the public.

I have all the main non-game specific forums up in Live View, so I normally see the spam as it appears. No clue how the other forums are doing on reporting.

I've gotten lazy about reporting since I usually see the spam post has 15+ views anyway and assume someone else hit it.

I'm probably in the all time top three, easily, but since it's been ages since I could reliably lurk here while at work, I've likely been sliding. That and I no longer report if someone has already rated it down, which tells me that it's likely been reported.

When you report a spam, it puts a bar across the screen almost identical to the PM system bar, that all admins can see until one of us clears the report. Most importantly, we can see it from any part of the site, not just the forums. I still probably find about 20-30% by locating and destroying unreported posts though. Given the changes they made to who can ban what accounts at what threashold levels, it's important to report the more prolific ones early Once they go past a certain point, only Darqflame, Myself or one of the Devs can currently ban it (long story, blame FFXI). The per account topic spam rate limiters actually do work, it just doesn't take all that many messages to hit the "noob limit" and then they make another account manually near as I can tell.
