Karma question...mine is going crazy.Follow

I am very, very confused about what's going on with my karma...every three seconds it seems, it shoots up or plummets down. Different posts of mine reflect very different karma, from the low 2's to the mid 4's. I really don't understand what's going on, because the possibility of enough Scholars rating me to change it this frequently is pretty low.

Anybody have any ideas on what the problem is? ><;

/edit/ Ah, here we are...this is an example of what I mean. . My first post there has my karma at 3.30, the next has it at 3.35, and the next has it at 3.11. What's going on? T_T

Your confusing your karma with the ratings of the individual posts. Posts start off at your karma level and move up or down as they are rated individually by users. Your Karma is the average of all your ratings and won't change that rapidly. To see your actual karma, click on your name.

Indeed, I have done that...and that's what goes up and down so fast. It was...what, 3.25 closing yesterday and today it's 3.07? I have posts ranging so much, I can't imagine a single rating killing it like that. Like a stock market, ne?

Your karma, at the time you posted on Wed, Jan 21st 2:45 PM 2004 was a 3.12 Today it is a 3.11. That could be due to a rounding error. The number on this page:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/poster.html?user=285096
is your karma, not the numbers showing up on this page.

If you want, we can do an expirament to show you how much it changes. Post a reply to this, which I will rate up, then check your karma. Then post another reply, which I will rate down (I'll repair the rateing when we're done) and check it then. I think you will find that even with maximum non-mod rating level your base karma won't move that much.

Alright, post post post. =3

...also, please check up on the Summoner forum, the "offering USD for help" post by saiyajinknight? I think we need a mod to clear that up, it's gotten extremely out of hand. I have no authority over there any more, even though I did what I thought was the right thing. -_-; I'm always surprised at the resistance a high-level character with knowledge to give is shown. Attacks from left and right...anyhoo, post post post.

Ok, that's an up post. Note that your base karma went from a 3.10 to a 3.11

Yes...but over the weekend, there was enough of an attack on my karma to de-scholar me. ^^

Speaking of which, I posted another message about it...it really needs to be looked over, I think. -_-;

hmm. this was kind of what i was wondering about too. So only scholars can rate other people's posts? Since i was one last week, and after a few posts on the summoner board i wasnt.

Not that i really mind though. It's all about fun and information.

ps: good things cleared up on the SMN board.
