Not a bug, but i don't feel like making a new thread: any possibility of an option to filter out journal posts (or any other forum for that matter) from /uposts.html? As i come up on something like 9000 journal posts, that page is becoming increasingly useless Smiley: frown
In what was is the page useFUL to you? That might help with some direction. Others are welcome to chime in. I'm not sure everyone uses it for the same purposes (i.e. finding posts isntead of forum search, posting in a thread to bookmark it without using bookmarks/forum search, etc., etc.)
All of the above, as well as to find post score distribution. It works easily enough for that normally, but for a me, a third of my posts don't count, and most are rated excellent/good by kirby, so that makes it even more inaccurate for me. And of course being able to tell how our posts are rated in each different forum would be interesting to say the least. Not a big deal if you don't do it, but would be cool to have.
I'll just rate you down in /K/ so you don't get confused.

how will that differ from =10?

Angsty, did you intentionally nuke all of your posts from before you changed your name? Smiley: dubious

Is ACP really angsty? If so, why settle with C? Admins can have special characters in their names. C? Why now adinotrainer?

Exclude Journal toggle added to uposts. Also enhanced the way things are counted so the number of results/posts is actually accurate to what is really found (which until adding this toggle only applied to people whose posts didn't equal their user account 'number-of-posts' bit and there weren't many).

I know I changed my names around everywhere I historically could find them. I may have buried all my own older posts when I did it as well; can't remember TBH.

Also, the edit button remains in nuked threads, at least in journals/admins.

Attempting to unlock a nuked thread will add the edit message, and do nothing.

The edit button remaining is correct. I can't replicate the unlocking a nuked thread issue, are you still able to see that error?

Is this supposed to be possible? The post comes out to 167,610 characters, out of the max 100k.

Since those are through various automated messages I don't think it's an issue.

I couldn't replicate this - example?

These are fixed.
Still broke on user pages, but works on /cgi-bin/bookmarks.pl

Forum mouseovers now work on user pages.

I ticketed the other issues.

Weird, it's not doing it now for me. Still happening here though, (ctrl+f haxball, it's towards the middle).

Ah, it's only happening for premium non-admin. Ticketed.

The URL I tested with wasn't long enough. This is an intentional effect resulting from the length of an unbroken word. The display on the forum page adds a space to very long words to prevent them from distorting the thread list table.

When a post is nuked, the last post linked from the date still points to the nuked post, even though it correctly displays the date of the previous post. Also, the issue with the user linking to the post id is still broke.

I have some fixing to do on following stuff in general regarding nuked posts. I'm working on it.

Searching the ff14 general forum doesn't seem to be working properly. Of the 194k posts in the forum, only 30,677 are found by searching. They seem to mostly stop at november second 2010, though there are also ~20 found from october, and 5 others before that, the earliest one being march 21st.

They do show up when searching everything though.

  • OK, I see that now. Why not make it so that 'li' works properly, there is no need to open or close a list if all you want is the default bullets. You really should only need to open and close the list if you either want it ordered, or a special bullet.

For the record, an asterisk as the default bullet is just silly. It much more work than just pushing [shift] 8 then [space].

Edit: OK, based on this post, I see asterisk isn't the default anymore. But let me check.

    • asterisk or disc?

Ya'll might want to clean up the mark up FAQ that I access at http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/wiki/Frequently_Asked_Questions_%28Forum%29#Smilies_%28Premium_Only%29 at some point.

I don't believe that rating any posts older than either three or six months (if memory serves, which it probably doesn't - I do know that there is supposed to be a time-based cutoff) is intended at all.
