Jeopardy is all I remember when I think of Burt Reynolds (Even though that was Norm Macdonald). Growing up I was never into live action shows and movies. Animation was my thing. My early childhood was non stop cartoons.

I think the last time I enjoyed Saturday Night Live was when they were still running the Celebrity Jeopardy skits. I liked Cannonball Run, my roommate during my first deployment really liked Smokey and the Bandit so I saw that an unfortunate number of times, and I've spent the last ten~ish hours repeating Einstein's line from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. "Smokey is the bandit!"

He was married to Loni Anderson wasn't he? Six degrees, but I enjoyed the hell out of WKRP in Cincinnati.

I can't say I was ever a fan of SNL. I just like the funny clips which seem to be a small percent of the actual show footage out there. Celebrity Jeopardy being a larger portion of them.

Mad TV reruns a decade or so ago seemed more prevalent for a while on my standard viewing channels. And that left more of an impression on my mind than SNL did.

He was. The marriage ended in the 90s in a nasty divorce in which Anderson alleged physical abuse and Reynolds alleged that Anderson was sleeping around. So if you want to be That Guy, go on all the Facebook posts about Reynolds and say how he was a wife beater and they should feel bad for posting images or memories of him.

Movies and television are garbage. Reynolds' true act of art was depicting the mayor of Steelport in Saints Row the Third.

There's a Nike thing going on. And some of it has lead to some pretty funny stuff. Edit: An Indiana Jones themed one.

And... a Dallas Policewoman entered what she thought was her apartment... and shot the real owner. More reason to live out amongst the nature and trees. They won't break into my house thinking it is theirs and kill me. For the most part, at least. Lack of opposable thumbs helps keep them outside.

Bear broke into a house and killed a woman, too. Also one killed a dog last week. See, our bears are at worst belligerent alcoholics. Though I guess you could make a case that the bear and tree didn't break into the wrong house and homicided the real owner slash family.

On my drive into work there was a short story about a scientist who was investigating using solar panels in the Sahara desert to help wind patterns, and rain quantity, by changing the amount of heat reflected back into the atmosphere. And the host talking said something about wind turbines as well helping improve air flow. (No quote from the scientist on that one, if I remember right).

And all I could think of at that moment was Morbo from Futurama.

There's a scene in In The Thick of It where Mannion laments that he was forced to put a wind turbine on his roof to look environmentally friendly. Except there's not enough wind to spin it so he had to attach a motor to spin it and now it's costing him money. And there's a flagpole next to it so the flag is hanging limp while the turbine spins -- to which someone suggests he move the flag to be in front of the turbine.

Clearly he should have connected the motor to the wind turbine so he would have perpetual energy.

That is a weird redundancy. "I WILL CREATE A CLEANSING FIRE, TO WASH THE FACE OF THE EARTH CLEAN, AND THE ARMAGEDDON WILL WIPE THE SPECIES FROM THE PLANET, AS WELL AS AN END TO ALL LIFE!

but just in case my plans fall through, I made a little girl

It was either sire an evil protégé to continue my work or a secret evil volcano lair with a giant red Self-Destruct button. They both cost about the same.

It really came down to the lack of available volcanoes in the five boroughs.

Turns out that he may not have been a Prince, but he really was Nigerian.

Also, I have no idea why, but Firefox w/ Adblocking always shows me Australian based trending news on Bing. Doesn't matter where I am located (work, home, out of State, etc.) A large amount of AU based trending results. Using MS Edge browser I get more Regional or US based results. And it doesn't matter if I'm logged in or not.
