"A Chink in the armor" is a well known phrase correctly used. This reminds me of the ********* that happened over the correct use of the word niggardly a while back.

Save your outrage for when it's needed, people. There's a lot out there worth getting torqued about. This ain't it.

Only if you were looking to be offended. In context it is not easily misunderstood.

I'd imagine the very first "outrage" posts were jokes. Then social media being what it is people looking for the next thing to offend them latched on without context.

The context being "trying to be offended."

Incorrectly used though...

In other news this morning, Alabama is having a rocky start to same-sex marriage as State Supreme Court Chief Justice Justice Roy Moore tells state judges to defy the federal order and threatens them, saying they could be impeached by the governor. Some counties are just shutting down their marriage offices and refusing to give licenses or perform ceremonies for anyone. SSM advocates in the state call it a victory that "more than half" of the counties are complying with the federal order.

Kanye, Kanye. Dude. Beyonce is a grown woman, fully capable of speaking for herself. She doesn't need you making a fool of yourself at every awards show on her behalf.

Beck was pretty gracious about it. What else could he do, really?

As for Alabama, things haven't changed all that much in the last forty years, I guess. Or ever, possibly.

The idea of Beck giving his Grammy to Beyonce makes me think of this.

I'm sure it's completely legal to threaten your subordinates to either agree with your views or face severe punishment.

Kayne is taking that whole "becoming a meme" thing a little too serious.

How's that working out for Rick Perry?

Well, he's still being charged with felony abuse of power and coercion of a public servant. Probably won't affect him if he decides to run again in 2016, though.

Nah, he'll be crowded out by all the Texas crazy, and the near-Texas and proto-Texas crazy.

If you want to talk about political correctness in overdrive, check out this silliness. For those too lazy to click the link, it's a show about the horrifying repercussions of someone slapping someone else's kid for being a brat.

This is a stupid concept for a show. If someone slapped my kid and I was there, one of us would end up in the hospital. Times change, "slapping someone else's kid for being brat" is a phrase that doesn't require "for being a brat." It adds nothing in the modern context. It's like posting "raped a woman for dressing too sexy".

Disclaimer:

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I'm guessing the kid, as you tripped over them in your mad rush for vengeance.

However, slapping a woman for dressing like a BRATZ is still okay in twelve states.

Irrelevant. Though if one of my poorly written statements could be perceived as being derogatory and offensive to a race of people, I'd correct and move on.

That would eliminate hand-jobs and blow jobs.

Why would it offend you that someone would or did or is asked to change their phrasing to be more ethnically friendly?

My favorite part is all the people who don't know, or pretend not to know, who Beck is. If that were true... if you don't know his music... wouldn't it be better to listen to it before you shoot your mouth off?

I have nothing against Beyonce. I like her music. I do think she has a chance to be very, very classy right now, should she choose to do so.

I got a kick out of a tweet I read to the effect of "Are people really saying that someone who plays 14 instruments should give his award to a woman who needs four people to write one song for her?"
