Thinking about playing again, needing some adviceFollow

Just thought I'd ask some other people about this. I haven't played the game in at least a year so I thought I'd ask for some outside opinions. Is FF11 still an ok game? Is it worth the monthly charge to come back on or has it changed too much for someone like me to get back into? I've been playing since '04 on Garuda server all the way through the server merge to Lakshmi, but quit a year ago to concentrate on school a bit. So, open for some feedback if 11 is still worth it to play once more~

Hey, I'm coming back to Lakshmi either today or tomorrow (depends when steam download and FFXI update finishes) so I'll tell you how hard it is to adapt or not then :) From the looks of things, and what my friends have told me, Abyssea is both a godsend and a curse. It lets you level up crazy fast and obtain some seriously crazy gear, but it means that any newbie can get to 95 (99 soon) in a matter of days. I'm not letting that put me off though :) Overall they say it's a lot better but new implements since abyssea are a bit "meh".

I would say definitely. Abyssea content is very laid back in the sense that you can make steady progress towards your goals. It definitely wouldn't hurt to reactivate for a month if you are curious.

There's alot of people coming back to the game that might be just as lost as you.. But it will be fun to explore.. and the new content allows for much to catch up on. The abyseea ultimate edition can be used to upgrade you account to add everything you're missing for about $15. off square enix's store site.. and I'm sure that will add more than just leveling for your activity list. ^.~
