Hello, as the title says, I have recently returned to the game. I used to spend crazy amounts of time on these forums, and feels nice to see old allakhazam still kicking even with the shortened name. I played from 2004-2007, and then came back for almost a year and left again during wings of the goddess and when they were putting out the add-ons due to the birth of my twins. I just didnt have the time to play this game that it required back then. I heard things had changed drastically, and man was that an understatement. My highest job before was 70 whm and I had a bunch of jobs in the 40-50 range. In my first week back I got sam to 99, got some ilvl gear, though surely not the greatest, and now am not all that sure what to do. I've started going through some of the zilart mission lines and plan to do more of the CoP ones too. My old linkshell Benevolence is no more, and the linkshell I was in when I came back before doesn't seem to be active anymore either. So I am looking for a linkshell if anyone is open to having someone in my situation in it.
I don't quite grasp abyssea what with the lights and atmas and such. I went there when my sam was 80ish and got my backside handed to me with the first link lol. I haven't tried to explore voidwatch yet. And I have only just visited adoulin so far. So en lieu of having a linkshell, does anyone have some advice for things I should start trying to tackle by myself, or what jobs I should be working on. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Game name is Totant. I can't seem to recall my login info for Zam with that name, so this one will have to suffice.

My linkshell is actively taking in new members and returnees, although they can be tad strange when it comes discussing smoking things, besides that they're very helpful.
Best off completing all the missions you can, you should be able to call trust npcs in all the battlefields, you should work on being able to reforage af/relic/empyrean armor sets and getting into other events like alluvion skirmish and delve.

Can anyone tell me how to get my af upgraded to wakido? I've got all the items the guides say I need. But when I talk to monisette she only mentions relic and empyrean. What am I missing here?
You mention you're still working on missions, correct? You need sea access to reforage.

ah ok, that must be it. Guess i'll work on those when I get off work tonight then. Everything has been fairly easy to do with the 99 sam thus far. I'll see if I can catch you on tonight to try and join your LS. Thank you for being so helpful.
