I noticed that it says it allows a magical "cold" ability with a range of 1500. I have been playing DAoC for going on a month and a half so I am not high enough level yet to have gotten anything, or haven't come across anything that would allow such an affect. What I am wondering is how the magical ability is imbued and allowed. Is it imbued the moment you wield the spear? And does it automatically place a quickbar selection on your "spells" list?

That means it is an AE proc. The df diamond weapons have that.

All of the Shadow Crystal stuff goes yellow / starts proccing (those that proc) at 46 / 47.
Every drop from the CM pit has a chance to drop off of anything down there. I just got this spear today off of the rocks just in the base of the pit. I also have seen it drop off of Abysmals and weewares. The ghostly miners are really stingey and never seem to drop anything. We hate them.
