Dialog from quest: Talk to Researcher Alura at loc=51232,21036,11423 dir=73 Veil Rift Researcher Alura says, "Greetings, and welcome to this place that is called The Veil. We refer to this area of the Veil as the Veil Rift, for this is where you will find the portal from this world to Hibernia, as well as [another portal] into the Shar Labyrinth." Researcher Alura says, "The rift was created long ago...but that is a story for another day. Right now I will say that, when the Veil was discovered, there were mysterious ruins, as if a civilization once existed here. I came here to study these [ruins]." Researcher Alura says, "Of late, my findings raise more questions than answers. The architecture has elements common both to the Elvish style, and that of the Shar. Moreover, I have found some [strange stones] that pulse with magic." Researcher Alura says, "The stones seem to be emanating a sound, though it is very low. It sounds almost like a voice, rising and falling in pitch and tone. I believe it to be a beacon, and somewhere, this [magical signal] is being received." Researcher Alura says, "Would you be willing to [deliver this stone] to someone in Tir na Nog for me, along with my report of its finding? I will make a note on my report that you are to be paid upon delivery. Will you do this thing for me?" Will you deliver the items for Alura? [Levels 5-8] You have been given the Bring Home the Beacon quest. Researcher Alura says, "I thank you, Celt. I am reluctant to leave here, as the Veil fascinates me so. Here are two items that I need for you to take to my good friend Saffa in Tir na Nog. Saffa can be found in the city's tradeskill plaza. This is one of the strange beacon-stones I spoke of, and here is the letter. Saffa will pay you upon arrival. May your journey be swift!" You receive the Beacon Stone from Researcher Alura! You receive the Letter to Saffa from Researcher Alura! [Step #2] Return to Tir na Nog and seek out Saffa the merchant in the city's tradeskill plaza. Give her the letter from Alura and beacon stone from Alura. You may hand her the items in either order. [Step #3] Return to Tir na Nog and seek out Saffa the merchant in the city's tradeskill plaza. Give her the letter from Alura and beacon stone from Alura. You may hand her the items in either order.(yep this was repeated in the quest) Handed Saffa the Letter to Saffa from Researcher Alura first. Saffa says, "Ah! A letter from my friends Alura. It says that she has found a strange magical stone in the Veil Rift, and she wishes for me to have it examined by our city's Sages. Do you have the stone with you, Hero?" Handed Saffa the Beacon Stone from Researcher Alura. Saffa says, "So, this is the mysterious stone? It is indeed strange. I can sense its power even without a spell of divination. I will take this to our Sages for study. Now, there is the matter of your [payment]." [Step #4] Ask Saffa in the Tir na Nog tradeskill plaza for your [payment] for the delivery task. Saffa says, "Here is a purse of coins as recompense for the service you have performed. I thank you, Hero, for your assistance. May fortune and wisdom follow you wherever you should venture." You are awarded 965 experience! You are awarded 90 copper! You have completed the Bring Home the Beacon quest! lvl 6 received 965 experience. lvl 7 received 2,200 experience. |
