DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Tavie tells you that her wonderful drum is missing! Her twin sister, Tira in Ardee, stole it, that thief! Go talk to Tira and she'll tell you that she's only borrowing it, and she'll give it back along with a gift lute for you if you can get her mystical Golden Flute back from an Anger Spite in Bri Leith. Being the lazy bard I am, I went to the anger sprite area north of Tir Na Nog and killed a sprite there - blue at 14 but they hit hard and were quite a challenge even with the damage buff I got from a friendly enchanter. Tira is glad to have her flute back (rewarding you with half a bubble of xp at 14), but the lute she was going to give you was broken! So she asks you to get sinew from a curmudgeon trapper in Lough Derg. I found some to the west of Ardagh, took a bit of bardic trickery but ended up single pulling one from a valley there. Returning the sinew to Tira, I was told that she could make the lute better than it ever was! I had to retrieve a piece of driftwood from a Roane Maiden and a seashell from Lelly, a named Roane Maiden who inhabits the shore just northwest of the Parth Farm in East Lough Derg (loc=55109,11602 in Lough Derg. ). Was yellow to 15, then blue to 15. She's not as near to the shoreline as other Roanes. Return the Driftwood to Tira, and she'll give you the lute and Tavie's drum in return. She says she is too inexperienced to fashion the lute with the seashell, but says Tavie can do it! Return to Tavie in mBeo, and she requests her drum, then the lute, and finally the seashell. When she receives all three items, she fashions you a Lute of the Sea! Nice upgrade to Bard Initiate Lute. Reward is Lute of the Sea, Blue to 15. All in all, I got about 2 bubbles of xp from the quest between 14 and 15. Reward: |

when i recieved the quest, i was required to attain string from a siabra archer instead of sinew of crum. The best place to hunt archers is the archer hut in the Silvermine Mts.(54000,2000). Also found with the sheevra swordsman across the river from Howth (cross stepping stones and follow river north).

Lelly is there and is easy to find, trick is you can't just camp there waiting. There are (I think) 5 Roane Maiden spawn points there. you gotta keep killing the them and Lelly will show up eventually closer to the treeline than the water. I kept killing the ones that conned blue to me (at lvl 16). After I killed about 6 of them Lelly apeared along the tree line.

Update - Tavie finally spoke to my celt bard at level 15. She wouldn't respond prior to 15th level though, so perhaps there is a difference based on race of the bard or they have moved this quest from 14 to 15.

You could always click her name up there and it takes you to the bestiary that just happens to list where she is.

I have a 14th level bard and Tavie won't talk to me.
Does anyone have any idea if there is are pre-req quests on this quest?
As far as I know I've done every quest available except one fourth level quest I think I missed because it was started up in Ardee and celt bards are down in freaking connla at 4th level (great design there mythic)

she wont talk to me either! all she says is "greetings fair bard". I talked to all the fillidhs i could find and none of them said anything about tavie either.

On the way from Mag Mell to the parth farm as you cross to the other side of the water from the curmudgeon trappers, you will find rhoane maidens by the water. Behind them are trees with dergan furies and ghastly siabras deep inside.
Anyway, when I was killing rhoane maidens recently, lelly popped up. Before I saw this I had no idea what she was for. Anyway, she spawns fairly frequently.

Aye, I too have camped there for days (Gametime) with no success. There is one closer to the path than the other Roanes, but she too is just a "Roane Maiden".

Aye I have seen her. She spawns near the Derg's in the forest, where Macnol is in the old TnmB ruined tower. She's roughly on, or just right of the path when heading towards the parths

Greetings.
I have a hard time finding that roane maiden Lelly ! I have been camping for days (gametime) at the shore next to the forrest near parth farm. I havent seen her yet !! I cant believe it. Has anyone else had troubles finding her or waiting a long time for her ???

Don't know for sure that it makes a difference but two friends and I looked for Lelly in the right place for about 1 hour, real time with no success. I had to log so sat right there. When I logged back on, still no Lelly. I was wearing a necklace I picked up somewhere so I went and sold it. When I came back Lelly was right there, no waiting.
