DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Nyla says, "Oh, I hope my crying didn't disturb you, please don't feel like you have to [stay and talk]." Nyla says, "I don't mean to impose. I'm sure you have plenty of your own troubles. I could really use some help right now though, and I don't know [who to ask]." Nyla says, "You see, my daughter was taken. That's right, kidnapped! My husband was killed in the fighting earlier, and the [ransom message] said if I wanted to see her again that I couldn't involve the military." Nyla says, "Yes, I got a letter from the kidnappers asking me to bring some gold into Nyttheim and leave it at a particular place and they'd return my daughter. I've come this far, but every time I try to enter the city I'm attacked and I've had to [flee for my life]" Nyla says, "I just don't know how I'm going to be able to take this money into the city when I can't even get close to it. But you're not in the military. Have you ever been to [Nyttheim]?" Nyla says, "It's a dreadful place. I've heard it's full of kobolds that have had their minds and wills taken over. Oh no, I hope my [daughter] won't be affected by the evil influence!" Nyla says, "I have to deliver this quickly! Will you do it for me? Just take this gold into Nyttheim and leave it at the [specified location]? I was told they'd return my daughter to me soon after the drop was made." "Will you help Nyla get her daughter back?" [Levels 38-40] You have been given the Ransom Drop (Midgard) quest. Nyla says, "Thank you so much! I don't have very much money left after putting together the ransom, but if you'll do this for me, I'll give you all that I have remaining. I'm just thankful that my daughter will be returned. Let me tell you where you need to leave the [gold]." [Step #1] Remind Nyla at the Outpost to give you the [gold] you need for the ransom drop. Nyla says, "I was told to leave the bag at the base of the first gnarled, mushroom-like tree in the main cavern. It is supposed to be glowing dimly, so it shouldn't be hard to find. Just leave the bag there, and return. Be ever so careful, Nyttheim is a dark, treacherous place." You receive the Bag of Gold for Ransom from Nyla! [Step #1] Enter the main cavern in Nyttheim, and look for the first glowing, gnarled tree with mushroom growths. Place the ransom at the foot of the tree. (/USE the bag to place it.) (Region) You have entered the area at the base of the gnarled tree. You attempt to use the Bag of Gold for Ransom. You attempt to inconspicuously place the bag of gold on the floor at the foot of the gnarled, glowing fungus tree. [Step #2] Return to Nyla to report you have delivered the ransom money. Nyla says, "Thank you so much for your help, (your name). I'm sure that my daughter will be returned very soon now. Come by again some time and I'll introduce you to her. Here's the reward I promised. I'm sorry it's not more." You are awarded 70,000,000 experience! You are awarded 97 silver and some copper! |
