Master Reginald says, "Remember the swamp goo in the cellar? And the sickness that affected the Inconnu only? It seems that there is an undead that has been hiding from Arawn for years, Now, with the Inconnu walking the land, he's feeling [threatened]."

Master Reginald says, "Aye. It seems he's instigated the whole swamp goo cellar infestation and began the sickness with the Inconnu. As long as the Inconnu are here, he will be a threat. I think we should aid Tage."

Dialog box: Will you help end the threat to Caer Gothwaite?

You have been given the Soul Hunt quest.

Master Reginald says, "Aye. Speak to Tage, he'll fill you in on the what Arawn has told him."

    [Step #1] Speak to Tage.

Tage says, "Rogue, one of our sould has disguised himself as a damp skeleton amongst the dead Morgana has raised. He thinks to distract us by infesting the town with the swamp goo, and creating an illness for the Inconnu. He must be returned to Arawn, before he does more harm. Everry night that he lives as one of the undead, he gains in power. If he is not returned soon, he will grow strong, and become a great threat to this fortress town. He must be returned. He roams with the rest of the undead. Go, return his essence to me."

[Step #2] Seek out Jocias, and retrieve his soul.

Jocias only spawns after a great number of damp skeletons have been offed. If you get lucky he will have already spawned. He will spawn near 46k, 49k, or 49k, 49k, or 49k, 51k or there abouts. He did immediately respawn when I killed him with the rogue.

    Jocias dies!
    You get 26 experience points.
Jocias drops a bag of coins.

Jocias says, "Ha! My soul is still free! Amongst the damp skeletons Morgana has raised! You'll never find me!"

[Step #3] Jocias fled into a damp skeleton. Find and retrieve Jocias' soul from the damp skeleton it fled to.

I tried this several times, and it seems that the soul will jump into a gray con skele. And usually off all by itself. Kill as many as needed until you get the soul.

The damp skeleton says, "Noo! Don't return me to Arawn! He will torment me!"

You receive Jocias' soul from the damp skeleton!

[Step #5] Return the soul to Tage.

Tage says, "Have you Jocias' soul, Rogue?"

    You give Tage Jocias' soul.

Tage says, "Ah. He shall be returned to Arawn. His place is the underworld. He must make retribution to Arawn. I thank you, Rogue. You have done well."

You are awarded 5 silver and some copper!
    You are awarded 44 experience!
You have finished the Soul Hunt quest.

Mistress Laws grants this to fighters... her exact dialog is somewhat different, but the quest is otherwise unchanged.

Also, exp scales at higher levels. I received 88.

This is a Shrouded Isles quest, but is erroneously marked as non-SI.
    Not always damp skeletons

Jocias will sometimes flee into the body of a corpse glow rather than a damp skeleton, and it will be noted in what he says when he dies. Something along the lines of "Among the light of the corpse glows." rather than "Amongst the damp skeletons Morgana has raised."
    Not worth the time

My sincere advice with this one is just do a kill task instead. Jocias is one of the most camped mobs in the zone. Additionally, he's aggressive, and will usually jump someone who doesnt' even have the quest. He gets killed by someone who is defending themselves, and the questers have to wait AGAIN for him to pop.

If you must do this quest, you will spend a massive amount of time waiting. There is nothing special about the cash or XP here. You can make about the same by kill tasking, and be on your way to level 5.
