DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different Brief walkthrough: 1) Speak with Guard Hegir at loc=32761,34304 in the Burial Grounds. 2) Place the Gathering bag on your hot bar. Then go to loc=21474,5372 Burial Grounds and right click on the Gathering bag on your hotbar and type /use to gather the glowing crystals. 3) /Use the bag at loc=21601,5161 Burial Grounds to gather the vine of the unusal plant. 4) To gather the fragments of darkwood go to loc=21422,25496 Burial Grounds. 5) Return to Guard Hegir and give him the Gathering bag to receive your reward. level 12 received 5 silver and 28,000 experience. Dialog from the quest: Speak with Guard Hegir at loc=32761,34304,17738 dir=108 in the Burial Grounds. Guard Hegir says, "Hello there, (name). I don't suppose you have a [moment], do you?" Guard Hegir says, "A few of us would like to do something nice to [say thank you] to Mistress Sumner. She has been sending us treats on a weekly basis, and we've never done anything nice for her in return." Guard Hegir says, "Some of us have some skills we could use to make her a gift, but we rarely get a chance to leave our posts and haven't had time to [gather the materials] we need." Guard Hegir says, "Do you have a few minutes to pick up some things for me and the [other guards]?" WIll you gather materials for the guards? [Levels 12-16] You have been given the Favor for the Guards quest. Guard Hegir says, "What a kind person. It never fails to amaze me what [generous] people the majority of our realm-mates are. " Guard Hegir says, "We want to make a memento of the burial grounds for Mistress Sumner and there are [three things] we need." [Step #1] Ask Guard Hegir in the Burial Grounds to tell you which [three things] he needs you to gather. Guard Hegir says, "First, on the other side of the chamber, in the tunnels that lead to the Undercity, you'll find some [glowing crystals]. See if you can break off one of those crystals." Guard Hegir says, "Then, there are some [unusual plants] growing right next to those crystals, by the Undercity. They're green with a lot of little leaves. One of the guards wants to make an Undercity original recipe for Mistress Sumner, and those herbs are used in it." Guard Hegir says, "Finally, I noticed some [fragments of darkwood] have fallen from the Call of Valhalla. Just get a couple of pieces of ancient wood from near the foot of the southwest tower. It will be really pretty once it's carved and polished." Guard Hegir says, "Here's a bag you can use to hold everything. Just /use the bag near what you want to gather, and then bring the full bag back to me." You receive a Gathering Bag from Guard Hegir! [Step #1 con't] Cross the Call of Valhalla room and enter the cave in the northwest corner. Follow it down until you reach tje roped-off cliff. To the east and down the trail is a patch of glowing crystals. /USE the bag to gather some crystals. You break off one of the crystals at its base and put it in the bag. [Step #2] A short distance from the crystal, to the northeast is the plant Guard Hegir described. /USE the bag to gather some of the plant. You dig around the roots of the plant and carefully lift a leaf-covered vine into the gathering bag. [Step #3] Outside the ship the Call of Valhalla, at the foot of the southwest tower, there is some carved darkwood. Some of the pieces have fallen off. /USE the bag to gather some of the wood for Guard Hegir. You pick up some of the scattered pieced of beautifully aged wood and add them to your bag. [Step #4] Return to Guard Hegir in the Burial Grounds with the bag of items you've gathered. Guard Hegir says, "You're back! Did you have any trouble finding anything? From the looks of that bag I'd say you got everything on the list. Please hand it to me." Guard Hegir says, "These all look perfect. Here are a few coins to thank you for your time. If you want, you might stop by later when we're finished making our gifts. We'll need someone to deliver them but it won't be for a while, you'll probably be much more experienced next time I see you. " You have finished the Favor for the Guards quest. You are awarded 28,000 experience! You are awarded 5 silver and some copper! (coin and experience was earned by a level 12) |
