I killed scimitar cats around a big rock, southwest of Dyrfjell town (27k, 24k Aegir's Landing zone). Their respawn rate is medium, but their drop rate is low (1 out of 10).
Level 29 turned in 19 scimitar cat pelts for 1,600,000 experience each.

I have now killed many, many scimitar cats in search for one pelt and it hasn't happened yet. It is not Scimitar Cat Hides (which I originally thought). The Styr, the NPC, does not recognize hides. So yes, pelts are extremely rare.

Very difficult one. The cats lives at two locs: 25k,20k and 20k,23k. Yet in the 1st loc that in the 2nd they are linked by 3, but in the 2nd some of them are not linked (although they can link if repop their linked one).
