Mythic cut 100,000 copies of DaoC for shipping on the 9th. The servers are currently set handle that amount of online traffic upon release. However, some shipping companies ( i.e Amazon) did not anticipate the demand for the game and did not order enough copies to handle their pre-orders. Mark Jacobs of Mythic addressed this point last week on Camelot vault. Please visit that site for the official release.
P.s. if you preordered from Ebworld or a local retailer, they should have your copy ready for pick-up on the 10th or 11th. I'll see you all in camelot !!!

There are apparantly more pre-orders than the current servers can handle, so some copies of the game that were pre-ordered through online stores such as amazon.com and ebworld are not being shipped out for a week or more after the scheduled shipping date. I just figured I would let you know that you may not get the game right away.
