Boss enemies are immune to many status effects like Knockback and Stun.

He spits out pools of acid that does Damage over Time as well as root you to the spot. It is a good idea to try to avoid him while he spits this out. he will rear up just before each poison attack.

Best tactic is to use a ranged Mercenary and just run around while your Merc kills him.
