Chemspider
- The more aggressive of the arachnoid constructs, the blue pedipalps upon the forelegs of this creature actually drain the Steam from living creatures. Driven by a seemingly insatiable hunger, they will follow a food source until it can be cornered and harvested. Despite this a tentative symbiotic partnership seems to exist between the marooned Yusana Corsairs and these vicious hunters.
Green Chemspider - Unlike their more aggressive cousins, Green Chemspiders are strangely trainable creatures, although the relationships they develop with their handlers sometimes take on a sinister edge. The spider's pedipalps contain a lightly paralytic venom, repeated doses of which can result in a state of sluggish euphoria. Trained Green Chemspiders offer their venom freely, while feral specimens sometimes develop an odd symbiosis with creatures much larger than themselves, gaining a hunting partner of sorts until other prey becomes scarce.
