Most of what we know about the life cycle of the common Heartland Chittle comes from interviews with retired miners. Even seasoned veterans have been known to seek a new career after a single encounter. It's not difficult to see why, even the larval Chittle can administer a debilitating poison, but each form after that is deadlier than the last.

When a Chittle above Larva-stage dies it drops an egg. If you do not kill the egg it will hatch. Save a high-damage attack and drop it the moment the egg appears, followed by as much damage as you have Steam for. They hatch fast. If you have a bunch of eggs and no way to kill them all in time, retreat may be the best plan. Let them hatch out of range, then return and pick them off.
