Classes
The Channeler is an enlightened persona that wields the music of the Mechanism to restore allies and smite enemies.

Although some Paragons commanded the worship of their followers, punishing the disobedient and rewarding the faithful with unimaginable gifts, it wasn’t until long after they fell that the survivors of the Cataclysm began to venerate the slowly regenerating Mechanism. The first Channelers simply echoed the tones the Mechanism produced as it repaired itself, only to find that old wounds began to heal over in response. The Paragons’ fall showed that the Mechanism could not be mastered, but Channelers showed that it could be coaxed to act.

Modern Channelers use battle-hardened musical instruments to turn the steel eye of the World Machine to the suffering of their companions, strengthening them against their enemies. Some act in an official capacity as a faithful follower of the Liber Explicatum, while others rearrange the ancient melodies in a bardic tradition that, while equally effective in battle, some consider blasphemous.

Combo means the damage increases exponentially the more targets that are hit (up to the number given). It will still affect all within range, it just caps the multiplier. In a small room with lots of enemies this skill can clear the room.

Efficiency

The following table was made during Open Beta and needs to be redone for Arkadia. We leave it here, for now, for reference. For one, Abilities do not have Ranks anymore but level in a smooth progression.

It shows how much damage your skills do for each point of Steam spent to do it, at each rank. You can clearly see that efficiency goes down as the rank goes up, for every skill, and your higher skills have the worst efficiency.

Note: Every skill available is not shown, nor is every rank, just the Damage skills I happen to have equipped.

† indicates an AE so the actual damage per steam should be multiplied by the number of targets hit, but the relationship from one rank to another will still be consistent.
