You need to be wearing the Roshi Jinpachi to have the added effects of Rice Balls.

At least for non-samurai jobs which are not wearing the AF.

As an RDM, when I have Roshi Jinpachi on and eat Shogun Riceball, I get +50 Attack. I take off the Jinpachi, I loose the Attack. I put it back on, I get the attack, and so on.

So : Roshi Jinpachi + Shogun Riceball = +50 Attack +30 Defense + Doubleattack +5

Good note is, I can swap in/out other gear when casting, and put the Jinpachi back on when done.

If I where to equip both the Jinpachi and the Sam AF gloves then eat a Shogun riceball, would the double effect stay if I unequip the Jinpachi after eating?

It would be so cool if it did =)
they half stack...

As far as I know the actual stats like DEX STR etc don't stack, but your attack up, defense up, and double attack rate will stack
stacks ;D

Does the enhancing effect on this work the same way as with Myochin Kote? Do they stack if you're using both? Anyone know?
very nice

This is a very cool item. I've always liked the effect on the SAM AF gloves, since it makes riceballs give you like 45 att or something of the sort, as well as a bunch of def and some other stats (don't remember the exact effect off the top of my head).

Additionally, it gives people some more options for affordable food other than meat mithkabobs. Thus, cooks can make gil of other things, and adds a little more room for personal play style. Too bad it's lvl 73 though =/

more affordable food? the riceballs that give you +45 attack are 10k a stack for the reg, and 10 each for the +1 on cerberus. normal riceballs give you +32 def and +1 hpresting
meat mithkabobs are the cheapest food around for the stats they give melee

Not really.. Meat Miths are some of the crappiest STR/Attack food, really.. especially since they're 5-6k per stack now, and Chiefs are up to 20k a stack (on Unicorn)... I use Rice Dumplings for all my melee jobs. They give around the same Attack+ as Miths, along with +3 str, some other stats, and +5 accuracy. I hit just hard and more often with Rice Dumplings, and they're only 3-4k a stack.

This is a level 94 Cloth Recipe, it's an upgrade of Arhat's Jinpachi.

Arhat's Jinpachi + Rainbow Thread will yield this.
