Summary

You must fulfill your duty as a sergeant by training up your subordinates into proper mercenaries.

Walkthrough

Once you've successfully completed 25 points worth of assaults (5 points for completing a previously unbeaten area, 1 point for completing an already beaten area) head to Salaheem's Sentinels for a cut scene with Naja Salaheem. You'll get a cut scene of recruits doing push ups. Once the cut scene is over you'll be asked to identify which of them did not complete the task. After you've answered Naja Salaheem you'll have to wait one game day and come back to find out if you were correct or not.

If you answered incorrectly you'll repeat the process. If you answered correctly you'll move onto the next mini-game.

The objective of this mini-game is to press enter to blow the instructor's whistle with proper timing.

You'll get time to practice with Abquhbah to familiarize yourself with the controls and the timing.

When you press enter with the right timing you'll hear a whistling sound.

If you press enter with the wrong timing you'll hear a flat whistling sound.

The correct timing is immediately after the sit-up animation has completely stopped, Abquhbah's legs and arms should have completely finished moving

Once you're confident enough exit the training and do the real thing. In the challenge, you must wait for all 3 recruits to finish the sit-up animation. Time your whistles properly and you will win.

Try to get as close to 10/10 perfect timings but you don't need to be perfect to pass (9/10 works apparently).

After you're done Naja Salaheem will tell you to return again the next game day to see if you've passed. If you didn't you'll repeat this mini-game. If you passed you'll move onto the final mini-game.

For the third mini-game you need to see to it that a number of recruits complete a running session through town.

You can encourage recruits that are falling behind.

After awhile the recruits will stop enabling you to select "Not now!" to keep them going. Once they've all finished the run and no one has lagged behind you will pass this mini-game.

Abquhbah tells you to return the next game day where, if you were successful, you are rewarded with your promotion.

If not you'll repeat this mini-game.

The sit ups were quite easy compared to the running at first, then I got the hang of it. 1/5 on the running. 1/1 push-ups/sit-ups.

For the running what I found worked great for me was, forget about the "not now" option. It really doesn't do anything, or at least that's what I found. As soon as one of them falls back, you have to hit their name. If another starts to fall back you need to wait until the first one is caught up before you hit the other ones name. If two fall back at almost the same time, you are pretty much screwed, especially if it is at the end of the race. You will know you time it correctly by the sound of the whistle. High pitched is good, flat is bad. This mission was a pain! I am so glad it's over! Good luck to all!

I just finished this, went 1/1 on Push-ups.... it was incredibly easy, went 1/2 on Sit-ups, I recommend turning on sound for those of us who don't play with sound on, it makes it easier, also, I counted 1 right after they finished moving and then hit enter to go 10/10 2nd time after I turned on sound. Went 1/1 for the race, I was told I would hit alot of lag in the beginning due to Whitegate lag and that I should hit "Not Now" immediately when I got the chance, but I unequiped LS and turned on /shout filters, got no lag and the race was very easy, just gotta move quick when two are falling behind at the same time, hope this helps ^^

Any other tips for the running one? Ive failed it over 40 times... yes 40. Do I encourage them when they fall behind eachother or a few steps behind me? Ive been trying to blow the whistle when about half their body falls off screen. Do they all need to finish at the same time or very close to me? I have to be missing something very obvious! Thanks soo much for your help!

I found that the best way to win the third part of this when the NPC's go on the run through Whitegate is to make sure the second you see a cadet begin to fall behind to encourage them. If you wait too long then you end up having to encourage them too much then it tires them out and they won't finish. It took me about 5 times, the first few I was letting them fall way to behind before encouraging.

Now the annoying part.. the final one the run with the recruits. Is there something im missing as to how to get them to all finish at the same time... and god is there a way to light a fire under their butts to keep them motivated. It seems that someone always falls behind.... Ive tried with being agressive and not so much to try to keep them all at the same pace.... going on day 7 here.. any tips or something im missing please feel free to tell me.. thxs

the sit up one if kinda hard, but you press the whistle as soon as the last person has finished the sit up animation.
