The king, King Cassius III, is a timid child, too afraid of getting it wrong to actually try to rule. His uncle, Duke Stuart, seems to be the real ruler but he is more concerned with keeping the Sorceresses and the Clerics at each others throats than with any real threat. As for them, Lady Kaylinn and Bishop Ignacio distrust each other too much to ever cooperate for the good of the kingdom.
