Catching a Thief  

Stage 1

Opal Darkbriar is on the run! She has managed to escape her prison cell and with the help of some Freeport traitors, she has located the Fang of Ichor tome and taken it with her. I must track her in the Darklight Wood and return the book to the Emissaries. She is not to be spared.Opal Darkbriar has been slain and I have managed to recover the Fang of Ichor tome.

Stage 2

Opal Darkbriar has been properly dealt with. I should now return this tome to the Controller and inform him of her last words, as he may find them important.I've returned the tome to the Controller and told him of what Opal Darkbriar had said.

Stage 3

Controller Kenjedeau believes that Opal Darkbriar was speaking of the Drachnid Queen and has tasked me with her extermination. Controller Kenjedeau thinks that Mayong Mistmoore may be involved in the search for the Fang of Ichor and if the Drachnid queen has any information, she is to be eliminated.I've slain the Drachnid Queen in the name of the Emissaries and acquired a tablet bearing a symbol from her corpse. The symbol seems to be the same as the one on the sides of the Fang of Ichor. I should get this to Controller Kenjedeau.

Stage 4

I must now report in to the Controller and inform him of the mission's success. He will also be very interested in seeing what this tablet is about, I should take this to him as well.I've spoken with the Controller and have been given the Rite of Banishment.

Stage 5

I've been given a chance to prove my worth once again to the Emissaries of Freeport by way of the Rite of Banishment. I'm to remain outside the walls of Freeport until my task is complete; slay an ancient and terrible creature of great might and power. I'm to defeat the Leviathan in Chelsith and return with its heart.I've done it! The Leviathan is slain and I have its heart.

Stage 6

I must now attempt to find a way back into Freeport and speak with Controller Kenjedeau. I must get this heart to him as proof that I'm able to handle anything Norrath can throw at me. The completion of this task will surely be enough proof for the Emissaries of Freeport to promote me to Curator.I've returned to the Controller and handed him the heart of the Leviathan. He was impressed and promoted me to Curator. I'm now one of the elite within the Emissaries and I report directly to the Controller only.

Stage 7

The Controller has informed me that mages loyal to the Emissaries from the Academy of Arcane Science have taken a look at the tablet and have discovered that the weapon can be empowered back to its full strength by slaying a powerful being. They say the tablet reads that a soul must be taken from one of the 'children of the first' and it must be slain with the Fang of Ichor. When this creature is slain, the blackened heart will act as a catalyst to draw the soul into the weapon. He was VERY clear in telling me that the heart of the Leviathan MUST be held in my other hand when I attempt to take the soul.Slaying the dragon Druushk with the Fang of Ichor while holding the heart of the Leviathan worked! The soul of Druushk was drawn into the weapon and it's been infused with power. I have to report this to Controller Kenjedeau, I'm sure he will be excited to hear this.

Stage 8

I should take the empowered Fang of Ichor back to Controller Kenjedeau.I've returned to Controller Kenjedeau. For my dedication and service, the Overlord granted me keeping of the weapon. I'll be putting it to good use I'm sure. Heh.
