Lore

Below are the full dialogues for this quest. Do not read it if you are avoiding spoilers!

You say, "Hail, Meli Valorfrost"
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "You are Calthine, are you not?"
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "Indeed I am. But how do you know me?"
Meli Valorfrost:Meli Valorfrost says to you, "Yeomal spoke of you. I sought him out when I began to have strange spiritual visions, and he helped me to understand their significance."
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "What did he tell you?"
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "He spoke to me about the Truespirit, and of their return. With his guidance, I found that they were directing me to fulfill my own destiny."
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "And what is that?"
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "The Harbingers have returned, and they have asked to speak to you. You helped them to cure the Blight, and they have said that they have a further task for you."
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "Me? How do you know?"
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "I have heard them whisper your name. They have opened a portal out in the fields of Antonica to the spirit realm. Seek out the portal, and meet with the Harbingers. They are waiting for you."
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "Very well, then. I will return once I have met with them."

You have entered Gathering of the Harbingers.
You say, "Hail, Elder Animist Sahdi"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "Hello, Siada. We have been waiting for you."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "Who are you? Where are we?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "We are the Harbingers of the Third Awakening. The bonding between mortals and the Truespirit will begin again, and we have come to bring the teachings of the Khati Sha back to Norrath."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "The Third Awakening? Of what?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "There have been three Awakenings - periods of heightened spiritual enlightenment in the world of mortals. It is during these Awakenings that the Bonding can take place, giving rise to the path of the beastlords."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "The Beastlords... I have heard stories of them. They commanded the creatures to do their bidding, correct?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "No. The bonding between the beastlords and their warders is not that of a master and servant. It is the merging of two minds into one. Two spirits into one. The warder is an extension of the beastlord, both becoming more than they could be alone."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "And the Truespirit oversee this bonding?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "We do. We watch over the spiritual hierarchy and help facilitate the bonds of the beastlords and their warders, by helping them find one another in the mortal realm. Without the help and teachings of the Truespirit, the Bonding could not take place. "
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "I see. And how will we bring those teachings to Norrath?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "First, you must speak with the other members here of my order. Each of them represent an aspect of what it means to be a strong beastlord. They will test you, and make sure you are worthy to carry their message back to Norrath. If you succeed, they will reward you with a token as proof of the deed. Bring these tokens back to me once you have proven yourself."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "Very well. I will speak with the other Truespirit."

You say, "Hail, Elder Patriarch Vuzx"
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "Greetings, mortal. I have been expecting to see you."
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "Hello, Vuzx. Elder Animist Sahdi said that I should speak with you."
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "And as well that you should, as my teachings are instrumental to the path of the beastlord. I represent Ralissk, the eldest and wisest of the Great Truespirit. It is Ralissk who helps the beastlords to make sound decisions in their journeys, ensuring their survival and the survival of those under their care."
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "Very well, what is it I can do for you?"
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "Show me your ability to survive on what you can find. There is a bush that grows near the shores of the Enchanted Lands. The berry of this bush only lasts for a short time on the branches. If it remains, it withers quickly and falls to the ground. The withered berries are poisonous, and can be dangerous. See if you can discern the difference, and pick the healthy berries."
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "I see. All right, I'll see if I can find the healthy berries. Farewell for now."

You say, "Hail, Field Priest Keven"
Field Priest Keven says to you, "Hello, mortal. You have come to receive my teachings, have you not?"
You say to Field Priest Keven, "I have. Elder Animist Sahdi sent me to speak with you."
Field Priest Keven says to you, "Then listen well to what I have to say. The Great Wolf Spirit, Kaldrahir, is known among the Truespirit for his natural leadership ability. It is he who teaches the skills necessary to carry those who follow through the darkness. If you are to carry those teachings, you will have to demonstrate your own leadership skills."
You say to Field Priest Keven, "Very well, and how might I do that?"
Field Priest Keven says to you, "There is a small glade not too far from here. A family of wolves had taken up refuge there, but the parents were slain by poachers. The pups still live, although not for much longer - they are weak, and cannot hunt food themselves. Demonstrate your natural leadership capabilities by providing food and leading the pups to eat."
You say to Field Priest Keven, "Where can I find this glade?"
Field Priest Keven says to you, "Look for the entrance on the southern part of the Commonlands, near where the Bloodskull extractors are. The glade is hidden by a large boulder, but the extractors are close to uncovering it, which would spell the end of the pups. Find the glade, and feed the pups so they can move on."
You say to Field Priest Keven, "I will return once this is done. Farewell for now."

You say, "Hail, Gardunk"
Gardunk says to you, "You made me wait too long! The Awakening is coming, and I have much to say!"
You say to Gardunk, "My apologies, but I came as soon as I could."
Gardunk says to you, "Well, since you don't impress me with your timeliness, we will try with your task. There was an original codex of the Khati Sha on Luclin, but it was lost when the moon was destroyed. Shards of the codex fell to Norrath in shards of the moon."
You say to Gardunk, "Where can I find the shards?"
Gardunk says to you, "Check in the fields of the Commonlands. U'lla, the Strong Hearted, is the embodiment of bravery and conviction among the Truespirit. You will need to beware of the creatures there, and show courage and tenacity when you are searching for the Codex pieces. They may not be easy to find."
You say to Gardunk, "I'll bear that in mind. Farewell for now."

You say, "Hail, Animist Poren"
Animist Poren says to you, "Greetings, Siada. Elder Animist Sahdi said that I should expect you soon."
You say to Animist Poren, "He did tell me to come and see you. I have come to see what task you might have me do."
Animist Poren says to you, "If the beastlords are to walk Norrath again, they must know how to protect that which is important to them. Marisha Kur, the Den Mother, teaches us to look after what is under our care. This is both for those we are directly responsible for, and those we are indirectly responsible for, as both will in turn provide for us."
You say to Animist Poren, "I see. What is my task, then?"
Animist Poren says to you, "There is a small hidden cove just off shore. There is a small boat near the Fisherman's Trail dock that you can use to get there. A group of turtles have just laid their eggs there, and a group of nearby aqua goblins will certainly devour the eggs if they found them. Go to the cove, and protect the eggs that are in danger."
You say to Animist Poren, "Very well. I will return once I have finished the task."

You say, "Hail, Bordag"
Bordag says to you, "You have come. Bordag is pleased."
You say to Bordag, "Hello, Bordag. I was told to speak to you and to hear your teachings."
Bordag says to you, "Bordag will not teach you. You will teach you. Elnakii is strongest of Truespirit. Body and mind of Elnakii is as one. You must fight strong foe - prove you strong of body and mind."
You say to Bordag, "Where can I find this foe?"
Bordag says to you, "A strong bear waits for you in its cave, which is along the cliffs just west past the entrance to Darklight Wood. He is the Scar Bear, and he is also mighty. He knows he must test mortals, and fears not death. Face the Scar Bear, and defeat it."
You say to Bordag, "Very well. I'll defeat the Scar Bear, and return."

After the trials...

You say, "Hail, Elder Patriarch Vuzx"
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "Welcome back, Siada. Have you gathered the ripened berries?"
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "I did. I believe these are the ones you requested."
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "The ability to observe your surroundings and make good decisions - both through experience and intuition - is deeply important to the path of the beastlord. Not only in the wild where they are most comfortable, but also in the chaos of combat. Without that survival instinct, the beastlord can never hope to reach his potential."
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "I understand. What more should I do for you?"
You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says to you, "I could send you on more errands, but for now, I believe you have shown me enough. Take this token, and be on your way."
You say to Elder Patriarch Vuzx, "Farewell to you, Vuzx."

You say, "Hail, Field Priest Keven"
Field Priest Keven says to you, "Ah, you have returned. What did you find out?"
You say to Field Priest Keven, "I was able to save the wolf pups."
Field Priest Keven says to you, "That is good to hear. Kaldrahir would be quite pleased with your demonstration of leadership and your choice to look after those in your care. There is a relationship between the predator and the prey, and you helped both with your actions, by ensuring that the wolves can eat, and that the deer are not overpopulated and find themselves starving."
You say to Field Priest Keven, "Thank you, Keven. Was there more to be done?"
You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
Field Priest Keven says to you, "Not from me - you have proven yourself in my eyes. Take this token as proof of your deed. Farewell to you, Siada."
You say to Field Priest Keven, "Farewell to you."

You say, "Hail, Gardunk"
Gardunk says to you, "You have returned. And with the pieces of the Codex, I hope?"
You say to Gardunk, "I was able to find all of the pieces of the Codex, I believe. Here you are."
Gardunk says to you, "This is excellent. We will see that this is repaired and once again presented to the beastlords on Norrath. It is important that the beastlords demonstrate courage in the face of adverse odds, and find a way to continue their tasks no matter what. This tenacity must be present in every great beastlord."
You say to Gardunk, "Indeed. What more must I do?"
You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
Gardunk says to you, "Nothing, we have seen your tenacity for now. The real test of mortals will come once the beastlords walk your world again. Take this token, and go with my blessing."
You say to Gardunk, "Thank you, Gardunk. Farewell."

You say, "Hail, Animist Poren"
Animist Poren says to you, "Have you managed to protect the eggs?"
You say to Animist Poren, "I was able to. I drove off the goblins, which should hopefully help keep the eggs safe."
Animist Poren says to you, "One day, those turtles could become valuable allies to the beastlords, so preserving them is important to not just them, but to all. You have shown that mortals are capable of looking outside of themselves, for whatever their reasons inside might be."
You say to Animist Poren, "Thank you, Poren. Is there more for me to do?"
You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
Animist Poren says to you, "No, this will be sufficient. Take the token, and go with the grace of Marisha Kur."
You say to Animist Poren, "Farewell to you."

You say, "Hail, Bordag"
Bordag says to you, "You come back. You find Scar Bear?"
You say to Bordag, "I did, and I defeated it."
Bordag says to you, "You do very good. Nature always in conflict. Those strong of both body and mind can reach their full potential. Without this, beastlords cannot be truly strong. You show that you are strong in both body and mind."
You say to Bordag, "Was there more for me to do?"
You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
Bordag says to you, "No, this enough. You take token. I see strength in mortals in you."
You say to Bordag, "Thank you, Bordag. Farewell."

You say, "Hail, Elder Animist Sahdi"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "Have you spoken with the other Harbingers? Were you able to complete their tasks?"
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "I have. I brought their tokens as proof of my accomplishments."
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "Let me see those... Yes. This is excellent. You have earned the right to carry the Codex back to Norrath, and present it to those who will become the teachers for the Third Awakening."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "Who am I to take the Codex to?"
Elder Animist Sahdi says, "You've already met him - Olgen, who heard our whispers, and guided you our way. He is to lead a new generation of beastlords for Freeport, using the new Codex of the Khati Sha as a guide for his teachings. Take the Codex to him, and pass our message."
You say to Elder Animist Sahdi, "All right, I'll take the Codex to him. Farewell to you, Sahdi."

Hailing again after completing quests...

You say, "Hail, Elder Patriarch Vuzx"
Elder Patriarch Vuzx says, "I wonder if mortals are truly ready for the new Awakening?"

You say, "Hail, Field Priest Keven"
Field Priest Keven says, "The Bonding will soon begin."

You say, "Hail, Gardunk"
Gardunk says, "We must be certain that this Awakening lasts throughout time."

You say, "Hail, Animist Poren"
Animist Poren says, "Now that the Blight is cured, the Truespirit can once again guide the spirits of Norrath as they have in the past."

You say, "Hail, Bordag"
Bordag says, "The mortals will need to master their strength."

Returning to Qeynos....

You say, "Hail, Meli Valorfrost"
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "Welcome back, Calthine. Were you able to meet with the Harbingers?"
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "I have, and I carry a message to you from them."
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "Oh? Is that so? What is it that they wanted to say to me?"
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "Well, I met with them, and I completed a series of trials. Once finished, they gave me a copy of the Codex of the Khati Sha, which I am to present to you."
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "Bring it to me? Why is that?"
'''You say to Meli Valorfrost, "You are to begin training a new age of beastlords for Qeynos. With the Codex, you can bring their teachings to those who choose that path."
'You gain Alternate Advancement experience by completing a quest!
You convert 23400 experience into AA experience!
You receive 12 Gold, 88 Silver, 31 Copper for completing The Word of the Harbingers - Qeynos.'
Meli Valorfrost says to you, "I am honored! I would never have thought that my destiny would lead me to something like this. I can only hope that I can live up to the charge I have been given. But with these teachings, I will do all I can to ensure that the beastlords of Qeynos are as strong as they can be. Thank you for bringing this to me."
You receive The Codex of the Khati Sha
You say to Meli Valorfrost, "You are welcome. Farewell to you, and best of luck in your new path."

Hailing after quest completion....

You say, "Hail, Meli Valorfrost"
Meli Valorfrost says, "The lessons of the Codex will help me to teach a new generation of trainers for the path of the Beastlord."
