1/3 on the subligar(BST Solo)

Beastmasters can do 2 things here: either charm a DC Gloop, or Familiar a VT Oil Spill.

I did both and even came away with several other subligars while waiting on repop. I had more problems charming the slimes than the fights themselves.

Get the IT++
# Apr 08 2007 at 6:28 PM Rating: Decent
Died unnecessary death and wasted time.

First time, I wasn't very close to an oil spill, charmed a VT diremite and familiared......Diremite never stood a chance and got wiped.

Second time, picked the nearest oil spill, familiared, took out a fomor beastmaster but oil spill was on 1 hp. Got no drop and didn't have time to regen the oil spill.

Third time found an IT++ oil spill, mischarmed and died. Reraised, charmed, took out one bst no drop but the oil spill was hardly scratched. Waited 12mins for spawn, killed it, got drop.

Rule for bsts....make sure you charm the IT++, you may die but have patience.
(looks like I got lucky with drop rate too!)
FINALLY!!!

Got this finally after my 3rd Phomiuna Aqueducts farming run, the damn Galka Fomor Beastmaster just would not give up his metal panties... lol Must have killed at least 20 BSTs before it dropped... I was afk too when it finally did lol got back just in time to lot XD

Seems worth it to me, gonna use it on brd for... god knows how long. seems better than af body to me, but we'll see how things go 'till later =3 GL to those still trying for this!!
About damn time...

Finally got this piece after I don't know how many days, but I was 1/16 with 19 deaths. It had better be worth it ^^

Wish I was one of those few that SE actually likes.

Also 49 mp = blink 20 mp, stoneskin 29 mp... so you can keep having these two spells just before you realease and do the WS
or if you want to keep invis on forever, possible if no magic detecting enemies are around

I saw a Bst/Nin wear this while wielding a Rune Weapon for Rank 6-2. It was clever of him when the effect went off and he lost some mp, then regained it back.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 04 2006 at 10:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) but /nin you dont need any mp???
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 30 2005 at 5:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You're stupid. You have no MP if you're /NIN.

Nothing. As the OP said, he was wielding a rune weapon, which drains MP to activate the latent effect. The rune axe, in this example, has a latent effect of regen on it. Combine rune axe and gaudy harness, and you get auto-regen, even on /nin.

Well i have done all the test i can on my 75 bard with this on and i found the way to get refresh but it is different for each job
First ill say how to activate it
Mp to low it will start refresh on its own
when i SJ RNG It refreshes up to 35%mp
When i SJ WHM though it only refreshes up to 17%
My guess is it does it up to 35% of what your normal MP is without SJ
That saying since i am wearing alot of MP gear I think it is easier to see how i got it.

Note
i took all my mp gar off and only had SJ of WHM and i sed up my mp. it refreshed up to 58%
when i put all my normal gear on i had 28% mp
thats 10% more then when i had all my gear on and never took it back off and on

All i can say is Wierd Smiley: jawdrop

RE: Refresh
# Mar 30 2006 at 6:22 PM Rating: Good
you can get merits and MP+ gear...just a note

On your test- if ur BRD/RNG recovers 15/50 mp thats 30% mp recovered.
If ur BRD/WHM recovers 15/200 MP thats only 7.5%of MP recovered...maybe it refreshes up to a set number of mp. Just a thought. ^^

Ok, you have to kill Fomor Beastmaster in Phomiuna Aqueducts.

Ophiuchus Subligar

Reece is correct. The Fomor Bard drops the Libra Subligar, which becomes the Cerise Doublet.

Simply because I haven't seen this item listed in relation to the harness, and indeed I don't think Allakhazam has it in the database:

Subligar = Ophiuchus Subligar (I think spelling is close at least)

Now go kill Fomors

That is interesting.. at what MP did it stop refreshing? what was your total then? what did it refresh you to after you put on the hairpin? what was your total then, since I don't know how much MP a horn hairpin gives?

From my experiances, with 125MP with BST gear and 150 with my electrum hairpin (adds 25mp) it has always refreshed me to 49MP. when I sub a non-MP subjob, such as THF for flee, and wear my frog trousers (-5hp, +20mp) It refreshes me to full (if I take them off and put them back on to clear MP). when I put on my electrum hairpin it refreshes to full. when I add an astra ring it stops at 49mp.

At least yours is good, try looking at the SMN's choices: We can either get Auto-Refresh which we don't need and don't want, -1 spirit perpetuation cost awoohoo, that doesn't even really benefit the people that do have it, and conserve MP+4 which almost no SMN has since almost no SMN does SMN/BLM.

Who cares? this is (as far as i can tell) the first body piece aside from garrison and RSE body piece to give ANY bonus to the CHR stat and this piece is even further boosted by the fact that you get a refresh!

i just wish that elvaan would have enough mp to cast raise without all the MP+ equipment and the body slot is what allows us to get +10 mp (royal squires)

I'm the one who found 49MP to be the magic cut-off point - for me. That was out of 192MP, so 25%.

I've never gotten around to testing with different max MP, but I'd definitely assume it's under-25% MP that triggers, not simply a set number of 49. So the more +MP you get, the higher your Refresh will keep your current MP. Not good for really xp'ing, but great for being lazy if you don't need much MP for what you're doing. =)

The latent is activated when you have less than 49 MP I believe. If you have 0 MP and you equip the harness, for example, you will refresh up to 49. This is perfect for BSTs because that is just enough MP to sneak/invis, blink/stoneskin, or whatever. Great for long solo fights and dangerous areas where resting for MP isn't an option.

Actually, imho this is great for exp too. I have a set duo partner, so we tent to kill very fast, not use a whole lot of MP unless we're in a bind, and because i'm usualyl XP hungry, i only rest when i really have to. Between regen, auto regen, and this armor, i'm happy as a pig in s#*t XD. besides the problem with different people confirming different MP cut off points, i cant see anything wrong with this piece. I dont normally carry MP gear, as i already have a seccond set of mele in a macro, but if it really is a % based on your total, macroing rings would actually give you more mp in a bind. That's just... great. ^^
Seems very nice.

Seems very nice. I hope the latent effect isnt too hard to activate, this seems excellent. BST and BRD both go pratically thier whole career with WHM subbed, and neither class has MP of their own to add to MP pool, so their own refresh would definately help a ton, but again, I wonder how hard it is to activate latent effect...
