hunter pet talent trees

Related topics: Hunter Pets, Hunter Pet Abilities, Pet Families

Pets now belong to one of three general categories, Ferocity, Cunning, or Tenacity. These categories determine not only which passive bonuses to damage, health and armor they have, but also which talent tree they have access to. There is a fairly even divide between the pet families on the three types.

Pets earn one talent point towards their tree every 4 levels, beginning with level 20. The Beast Mastery 51-point talent can also add an additional 4 points. This means pets will either have 16 or 21 points to spend at the level cap. Unlike player talent trees, pet trees only require 3 spent points to advance to the next tier. Note that many of the talents are in all three talent trees.

Note: Information in this thread is based around the current beta build as of August 7, and may be changed significantly by the release of WotLK.
